Basic instructions on Ubuntu (not installation)

Hi.
I just installed this today and I was amazed how easy it was to install and get a game running perfectly on Ubuntu.
The problem I'm having is I can't access any of the emulator functions while it's running. I would expect there to be a menu at the top with File / Tools / Help and so on. I'm basically looking for the savestate function.
I know newb questions like this can annoy people and I'm likely to get someone screaming at me to read the FAQ / search the forum. I've looked high and low for basic stuff like what are the keys, how do you pause, save, exit to menu, etc. Can't find a thing anywhere...
Could someone help me out?
Thanks!

Razer Kishi Android Controller Issues

My Razer Kishi used to work just fine with PPSSPP on my S10e phone, but now it suddenly stopped recognizing the D-pad and movement on both joysticks. All other buttons seem to work fine (analog test screen). I haven't changed any mappings, and trying to remap them doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

Can I give my save file to my friend?

My friend is playing a game in its English dubbed version and wants to play the undubbed Japanese version instead now
He is far ahead and doesn't want to restart, so is it possible that I could give him my save file for the undubbed ROM, and he download the same ROM and uses that save file?
if so, how can I do this? Thank you!

Project Diva Original Stage Flickering

Hello, I'm fairly new to the ppsspp scene, and I just wanted to let people know that there's some annoying flickering with some of the lighting effects in Project Diva Hatsune Miku (the first one) when using Directx11. I happened to fix this by switching the backend to Vulkan. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue?

DS4 controller input lag?

Hello. I know this question gets asked routinely, but couldn’t find a fix yet. I started playing Star Ocean Second Evolution recently and finally got it to run smooth, but the input lag is pretty noticeable. Just using keyboard keys, it’s about 4-5 frames of input lag, which is manageable, but with my PS4 controller it jumps up to about 7-8 frames. I’m guessing the extra frames are inherent from using 3rd party drivers for a console controller. I’m using stand alone as the latency tools in retroarch didn’t work. Here’s my info:
Lenovo Laptop win10 with i7 and GTX 2060, using input mapper (SCP toolkit kept disabling my KB)
Tried both wired and Bluetooth connection for the controller, no major difference.
V sync off helps a bit, but only with
OpenGL and tearing is bad.
Tried different back ends.
Frame skipping auto
Alll settings under performance are checked except v sync and retain textures
Upscale: auto
Type: XBRZ
Anioscopic filter 4x
Frame rate is smooth 60
Any fixes yet or is it just something inherent with the software? Is there a previous build that runs better?
Thanks

Ripping Audio From Rom?

Hi, I'm new here and not suuuuper experienced with forums, so please let me know if this isn't in the right spot/should be asked elsewhere!
I've been using PPSSPP to play Dissidia Final Fantasy, and I wanted to rip some of the voice lines of a particular character for my own personal use (really just to fawn over his voice because I have a massive crush on him but that's neither here nor there) because they don't seem to ripped anywhere else. The only issue is I'm not super well-versed in how roms work, so I have no clue where to look for the audio files. I extracted the game files from the .iso but all I've found is the BGM files, no voice files. I know they have to be stored SOMEWHERE, the only question is how to find them. I'm really not sure what else to do, what files have what, so I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to some software I could use or something in particular I should look out for.
