I've know of ppsspp emu for years, but I didn't know psp emulation has progress so far and fast. It seemed like just a couple of years ago ppsspp was only able to run home-brew stuff and not retail.
I'm very impressed and now I'm really interested in playing my games on the ppsspp on my PC. I wanted to play mhp3 again but after reading the mhp3 thread I noticed that you need to pauth files for the game to run in ppsspp. Well I wanted to know do most games need their own set of unique pauth files to run or is it a handful of games ? I'm not asking for specific numbers just a estimated percentage. Do most games need pauth files to run ? Also I want to make clear I'm not asking where to get files either. I don't know if important but I have a psp and games bought in the USA. Thanks

| x86-64 vs ARMv8-A |

I am going to get an ZenFone 2. Unlike most handsets out there, Asus chose Intel over ARM. However, Qualcomm and Mediatek versions of the ZenFone 2 are arriving in Q2 2015 at a lower price (FYI, several dozens of bucks is not very important to me).
This thread is not to start Intel vs ARM or CISC vs RISC war. I would like to hear personal opinions (based on technical knowledge) and experiences (based on real life usage), before I make a decision.
Personally, I do not like Intel at all. Intel's chips are not designed for mobile devices in the first place. x86 chips are powerful compared to ARM's because they can process complex instructions at hardware level, but they consume more power. I want to have a phone for prolong usage, not a supercomputer in my pocket with 1 day battery life.
The x86 architecture has a long history along with a heavy backward compatibility burden. Later Intel's chip provide new instruction set extensions (SSE4.2, AVX, FMA4...), while maintain backward compatibility with old software by supporting all previous instruction sets (MMX, SSE2, SSE3...). Even the x86-64 chips are not a clean design from the ground up, but rather an extension of the x86 developed by AMD. It will no doubt increase the cost and reduce performance.
ARM's chips, as far as I know, have no such thing. The ARMv5, ARMv6, and ARMv7-A are totally different and are not compatible with each other. The new ARMv8-A are backward compatible with ARMv7-A, but through some mode which is said to maintain a clean design, while does not affect performance.
Which version of the ZenFone 2 is better for software in general, and for PPSSPP in particular, Intel or ARM?

Hi everyone! Has anyone managed to move / copy saved games from the Windows version of PPSSPP to Android or vice versa? I wanted to know as how you actually made it
My idea behind this thread is to use Dropbox account and auto-synchronize all my saved games between Windows and Android. So you can start playing your PSP games via PPSSPP for Windows and continue playing them on your phone/tablet and vice versa

| PS3 controller not working on newer versions |

Greetings!
I'm having trouble getting my PS3 controller to work on newer versions of PPSSPP.
It works on version 0.8.1 via DirectInput, but the versions I've tried(0.9.1 and 1.0.1) do not have the option to choose between DirectInput and XInput, so now the program doesn't react to my gamepad in any way.
I am using Better DS3, and it works with every other program I've tried.
I have checked to see if this controller is selected as the controller to use with older programs from the advanced-menu in control panel, too, to no avail.
I have no other controllers plugged in.
Any suggestions what I could try next? I've tried googling, but found no solutions.
Best regards,
Sataja
