Maybe it's your game version problem.
As far as I know:
- 1.00 works perfectly as we can read from Accel posts Smile

- 1.40 works only without npc's, but as I just checked again, no problem doing more than 1 mission at a time in new versions.

No clue about the older updates not sure if anyone tested them yet, but it's very possible they have other issues. From what I remember 1.20 was especially problematic back in the old versions.

About the settings, you might want to turn off fast memory in system settings, not sure if it'll help, but in the older more buggy versions when we were playing with hacks it was pretty much required.
Also you should avoid using psp cheats. As of now memory is shifted in all GE games even those working perfectly, so cheats made for psp will usually not work and can easily cause extra crashes.

Just to be safe, if you change anything, restart emulation and let the game load normally, do not use old savestates even ones made in the menu as they will keep any corruption and problems there might be.

Well if you're willing to solo missions which normally require coop you can use my cheats from here which can be used to disable npc's when they're forced.
Optionally you could also get a few friends and do those missions in multiplayer, should work as long as not a single npc goes with you.
