problems with msvcr120.dll (W7Ux64)
i wanted to update ppsspp to the new version (9.7) and got the issues with msvcr120.dll, so i searched in the forum for a solution, got the link to download the Visual C++ (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...?id=40784) and installed it, but now the emulator doesnt work anymore, when i want to run it, it doesnt appear anything and it appear the screen "ppsspp stopped working".

if i use a older version of ppsspp, like 9.6.802, it still work, but i cant use the newer versions :/

i readed the forum to search a solution, but didnt find any that work for me, deleted both msvcr120 and msvcp120 files and reinstalled or repaired with the visual c++, but nothing yet.

anybody have an idea?

my specs:

Windows 7 ultimate x+64
AMD FX 6300
4gbx2 1600 mhz ram
Radeon R7 260x OC 2GB

thx for the answers, and sorry for my bad english

test with these 2 http://www.microsoft.com/es-es/download/...x?id=30679

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...x?id=40784

and restart the pc before running ppsspp

I noticed this problem as well and the program clearly has the file with. I found out it only happens when you try loading up the 64 bit EXE file. If you load up the 32 bit version of the EXE then it works

(bug, crashes, losts saves), no! if there is an error of these no is by the 2 versions of the emulator is mostly by games.

RE: problems with msvcr120.dll (W7Ux64)
This can happen if you have a msvcr120.dll laying around somewhere that is not the one from Microsoft, e.g. one you downloaded off a websearch. I've seen people fall victim to this mistake time and time again, it's very common.

If you downloaded any msvcr120.dll files, delete them. There should only be one in your system32 (which is, confusingly, the 64-bit one) and another in your syswow64 directory (this one, to remain confusing, is the 32-bit one.) If all else fails, delete the entire emulator directory (copying out ONLY the memstick/ dir for saves) and start from scratch.

RE: problems with msvcr120.dll (W7Ux64)
Some programs may come with Microsoft's msvcr120.dll. This increases the download size (if you already have it), but is an okay thing to do.

The downside is that sometimes, Microsoft fixes bugs in msvcr120.dll. If the game has its own copy of the dll, it also won't get bugfixes (for better or for worse), unless it updates the file manually.

The places that matter for msvcr120.dll are:
* The same directory that PPSSPPWindows64.exe is in.
* Any directory on your "PATH" (programs can and do add themselves, sometimes.) It's possible to find out how but somewhat advanced, which is why I generalize to "anywhere." http://superuser.com/questions/284342/wh...r-use-them
* System folders (which are actually just on your PATH, so this is the same as above.)
