Help pls. Android 4.3
After i updated my Xperia TX to Android 4.3 ppsspp won't work for me anymore. The graphics became all black with white lines. Before it worked great. This is Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 6.

Before:

After:

After:

P.S. I have tested other games FMA, FFCC, etc all black screen. :\
Also the reason i get to print screen the before part is when i turn on the "Debugging>Software Rendering (Experimental)" but the game is like moving in REALLY SLOW motion. :\
Yes, I have redownloaded and reinstalled.

Turn off fast memory and use buffer rendering without frameskip if you use them Smile i tried it on 4.3 with S3 and worked quite well altrough game is boring like hell tested as well on 4.4.2 (kitkat) on my S3 and woks as well .

O hai! Testing everything Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE Android 4.3

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
I seem to have the exact same problem on my xperia v, after I upgraded to android 4.3. The sounds tell me that the game is actually running normally, but all I can see is what looks kind of like an extreme blow-up of some small part of the screen. Only software rendering can fix this, and it makes the game unplayable. It's irritating and I suspect this will affect anyone upgrading their xperia device.

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
Appears to be some issue with the Qualcomm GPU driver version shipped with that Android version on these devices. Do any settings help, like non-buffered?

We're tracking this in https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/5584

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
I'll just clarify a bit.

The game I'm trying to play is FFT the war of the lions (european version). I did try Tactics Ogre also, with similar (but not exactly same) results. So Tactics Ogre doesn't work either (well, it works judging by the sounds, but the screen is really screwd up), and I think it's the same problem, but I only tried Tactics Ogre after this problem manifested, so I can't be entirely sure.

The screen rendering seems to be screwd up. When rendering resolution is set at 5xPSP I can see the screen divided into rectangles, in a roughly 5x10 grid. These may or may not be blown-up pixels, but as I decrease the rendering resolution the rectangles get bigger. At 1xPSP I can see maybe one and a half of these rectangles. Also the colors look like they might be inverted, or just otherwise wrong. As said, software rendering removes the problem, but slows down the game to be unplayable.

I too reinstalled PPSSPP but that had no effect.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas how to fix this?

The rendering modes (buffered, non-buffered, cpu, gpu) all exhibit the same problem. I'll try fiddling with the other settings and will report if I find anything helpful.

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
Do either of you guys have a log that you can upload for the developers to take a look at, this may give them a solution to the problem, of said games not running, upload the log if possible to the: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/5584
This would be of benefit to you & all Xperia users that have updated..........

I'll create a log dump for you. Or rather, I tried pressing the "dump next frame to log" option mid-game, but can't tell what happened. Where's the file? Is there some guide I could read or something?

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
That button dumps a bunch of debug info about graphics into the log, not a file. To grab a log on Android, you'd need Catlog or some other way of reading the Android system log (both require rooting as far as I know..).

Yeah, seems like I'd need to root my phone, and I'm not sure I want to.

How about uneanxyler? Can you provide a log?

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
For future versions I suggest that all log files (and all other files a user may need to manipulate) be relocated to storage folders accessible without rooting.

Best regards: dlanor

The suggestion was to take android´s system log itself.
So you can´t just make it accessible, unless you wrote an android version, that can output the log without root (as prior 4.# versions could).

On the other hand you can already send bugs to PPSSPP Server (http://report.ppsspp.org/logs), using the "server reports" option ....

RE: Help pls. Android 4.3
Issue seems to be resolved with v0.9.7.2-236-gbb30353 thanks to Henrik.

It seems that all it took was a more robust check to ensure that the device could properly support GL ES 3.0.

Further testing by affected users would be helpful to confirm this. So far, we have one confirmed report that the issue is resolved for an affected individual.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1
