PPSSPP saves imported to PSP
I imported some of my saves from the PPSSPP folder to an actual PSP and while it works for most games, it doesn't seem to work for Idolm@ster SP.
For some reason it tells me my save is corrupted. I tried using MagiceSave to try and fix it but no dice. The save appears to be encrypted but that's not really a problem since PPSSPP saves encrypted files too.

The save works perfectly fine on PPSSPP by the way. My PSP has the latest 6.60 Pro-C2 CFW and aside from loading my game it works perfect. I suspect the issue might be related to the fact three games use the same savefile but I don't know for sure.

RE: PPSSPP saves imported to PSP
Some savegames are incomaptible between ppsspp and the psp console, the reason is still unknown, kingdom hearts seems to have the same issue as well.

Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts

some saves are also device-locked.
i don't know about idolmaster, but i've experienced the issue myself with djmax when i replaced my psp 2k with a pspgo.
each device has a unique identifier, and some competitive games will incorporate it into the save to prevent you from getting high ranks on online leaderboards using downloaded saves.

What part isn't compatible is what interests me. I was under the impression the saves are identical in format and type.

Does that mean I could decrypt and hex edit to saves to try and fix said unique identifier to fit my PSP?

RE: PPSSPP saves imported to PSP
i don't know if the problem with idolmaster is the same as with djmax, but with djmax it's definitely possible to decrypt a save from 2 different devices, copy over the identifier, and then use the save on the other device.
until recently this was a bit tricky though, because you needed cfw and the original device the save was made with to decrypt it.

Alright, so what's this identifier I'm looking for? I'll try copying it over.
