Ur thoughts on a psp emu for android in the past before or at time of it's birth

I was wandering aimlessly on the net when i found this page: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969712&page=8
(notice the post saying that crisis core will never run on an xplay)
There were even some sites with old discussions saying that there will never be a psp emu for android bec. the psp is too cool.......

But ironically today my phone with a 7 year old gpu runs many games fine

Since 0.9.7 has just been released,what were your thoughts in the past?

mine:back in nov.2012 when ppsspp was first released,i thought that it will never run psp games full speed especially since ps1 games in hd was laggy.
But course ,i was wrong
