PGDfile.raw.decrypted

PGDfile.raw.decrypted
I was reading through the issues on Github and apparently PGD file support (not decryption) has been added / merged.

So is there a way to 'bind' a specific PGDfile.raw.decrypted to a game on PPSSPP?
Would like to try out some games for which I've had the PGD decrypted.

Thx in advance

El_Maco

RE: PGDfile.raw.decrypted
No, there is decryption already, although it doesn't seem to work 100% yet. There is no support for external ".raw.decrypted", for now you have to replace the file in the iso if you really want to try that.

And the specific file in the ISO would be INSTALL.BIN, right?

EDIT: Just patched a game by replacing the PGD; it didn't run before, but now it runs perfectly on PPSSPP 0.7-16.
EDIT: Only ran fine the first time. Second time and thereafter, somehow it will always reset to menu.

RE: PGDfile.raw.decrypted
Is this the problem you're talking about?

If so, can this be fixed using ISO_TOOL on real hardware?

If you have the decrypted PGD (*.raw.decrypted) , simply rename it to INSTALL.BIN and swap it with the one inside the Game-ISO under

PSP_GAME\INSDIR\

You need an ISO editor / builder to do this, I was using WinISO.

Btw. the game is Dunamis 15, a japanese VN.

RE: PGDfile.raw.decrypted
I let the game run in JPSCP and took the decrypted PGD from its temp folder.

I like that idea very much, solves any decryption problems until this emulator can stand on its own 2 feet, so to speak Big Grin

Yeah man, until PPSSPP isn't able to decrypt every PGD file, we can use JPCSP to decrypt game and do like El_Maco_Destructo said. Wink

Run game in JPCSP, and if u get *.raw.decrypted file in tmp folder then it's encrypted. Big Grin I know only that way. Maybe it can be checked with UMDGen, but im not sure. Then u rename *.raw.decrypted to INSTALL.BIN and replace with INSTALL.BIN in games iso, and save to another one. Then game should be decrypted. INSTALL.BIN is in PSPGAME/INSDIR folder in iso file.
But problem is, there is no INSTALL.BIN in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Impact. How, i don't know.

RE: PGDfile.raw.decrypted
The file you should replace is in INDIR and a little larger than what JPCSP makes. Maybe data.bin or install.dat...

I used UMDGEN to replace the data which JPCSP had made.
