RE: PPSSPP for ARMv6?
Can probably be done, but someone else will have to do it as I don't have such a device.

Thanks for your answer!
Please try to do it. I can be a tester!Blush
ARMv6 CPUs supports armeabi, armeabi-v6a libs.(For example FPSe supports ARMv6 and working good for me)
Many thanks! You're the best!Rolleyes
P.S. My device - Ssmsung Galaxy Gio (800MHz CPU, 278MB RAM and Adreno200 GPU which supports OpenGL-ES 2.0)
I do not understand the programmingSad

RE: PPSSPP for ARMv6?
Considering that the 748 mhz ARMv6 CPU that I have can barely play some simple mostly 2D games in FPSe, I doubt any PSP game would ever run decently. There is probably no point I'm afraid.

Actually my Huawei Sonic has an armv6 cpu (overclocked at 780 Mhz) and 256 Mb RAM and most games work fine in Fpse (over 40 fps in 3D games). PSP is more powerfull than ps1 but I would certainly like to try ppsspp if someone can make it armv6 compatible.

Dude just buy a new phone...

By the time this has decent compatibility for even modern day phones the arm v6 phones will be obsolete.

Second do we even want the dev to waste time making this work for low end phones rather than improving compatibility overall ?

Call ARMv6 phones how you want, but the emu should be made for ARMv6 phones too, I personally don't care how fast it will go, there are homebrew games that would run faster, an important one for example is cave story port for psp.
Henrik can you try to make a build for ARMv6? I can personally test it if you want.

Give the dev time to get decent compatability and I am sure cave story will work...

Why should he support a device whose processor is less than 1 GHZ when overlocked and has only 256 MBs of ram...

Phones now days have 2 GBs of Ram and multiple processors with more than double yours....additionally the gpu in your phone is exceptionally weak...

Are you planning to use that phone forever? Give this guy a year or 2 to get things together...the emu is far from complete. By then even the new angry birds apps will be too much for your phone to handle

That is a very good point. Even if this emulator is developed to the point where performance is so good that even armv6 phones could run some simple games, these devices will probably have stopped working by that time. (I am thinking dead batteries and such).

RE: PPSSPP for ARMv6?
I research point in the actual state is needs rewrite to Armeabi compatible (Armv5 and Armv6 Devices) because

ccm2SJrr.s:49: Error: selected processor does not support Thumb mode `fmrx r0,fpscr'
ccm2SJrr.s:50: Error: unshifted register required -- `bic r0,$(1<<24)'
ccm2SJrr.s:51: Error: selected processor does not support Thumb mode `fmxr fpscr,r0'

RE: PPSSPP for ARMv6?
I agree with the majority that it should be for armv7 phones the new snapdragrons announced at CES support opengl 3.0 now and andreno 320 is the best android gpu right now which the nexus 4 has...that way most phones from 2011 to upcoming phones will be able.to run it.
