Saves on Windows
Hello,

I have loaded PPSSPP on my Windows 8.1 tablet (Dell Venue 8 Pro) and am very, very impressed, even though I haven't actually played anything yet!

I have moved my SAVEDATA folder over from my PSP GO to my documents\ppsspp\psp\savedata folder, but the two games I have tried, Gran Turismo, and Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness don't seem to see it.

Is this because those games are are different version (US vs UK or something)? Or is the folder structure actually wrong?

RE: Saves on Windows
Have you seen this?

PPSSPP only uses My Documents if you have the exe in a read-only directory, or if you're using installed.txt with nothing in it, otherwise it'll use the same directory it's in.

RE: Saves on Windows
Thanks TheDax. I installed the most recent build and found my saves, but it still isn't quite right.

GT:PSP doesn't see it at all. Disgaea actually sees a couple of saves, but not the most recent ones.

So, if I look at my PSP, I have the following saves:
ULES00999DISGAEA000
ULES00999DISGAEA001
ULES00999DISGAEA002
ULES00999DISGAEA003
ULES00999DISGAEA004
ULES00999DISGAEA005

So far so good. However, I also have:
ULUS10308DISGAEA000
ULUS10308DISGAEA001

It sees the second set, but not the first, and it is the others I want!

The ones that start with ULES00999DISGAEA are from a copy purchased from PSN. The ULUS10308DISGAEA ones might not be. Does that make a difference?

Still not sure why my GT:PSP save can't be seen, but if I could get my DISGAEA saves working, I would feel significantly happier!

RE: Saves on Windows
The ULES saves are from the European version of the game while the ULUS ones are the US version of the game. Saves tend to be region specific so saves from a different region generally tend not to work correctly even if you change the name on the file to match the region of the ISO you are using. That said check out the faq here: http://www.ppsspp.org/faq.html
to see how to rip your copy of the game strait from your own PSP.

RE: Saves on Windows
Oh superb, thanks for the link about copying the eboot.pbp straight over, I will give that a go!

RE: Saves on Windows
Ah, so it ended up being a different game region issue? I hadn't thought of that.

RE: Saves on Windows
Yep, different regions seem to have different codes. Copied the eboot.php from my PSP and it all works fine now though. Thanks!
