PPSSPP Ubuntu 13.10 won't let me map controls

PPSSPP Ubuntu 13.10 won't let me map controls
I tried on Desmume fo NDS and it let me but when I go to map controls on ppsspp, it just automactially maps to axis - for whatever reason. I have my controller setup my to laptop using sixad so I don't understand the problem Sad

I am having the same problem with my window xp the wierd thing is it was working then stop I updated my controller drivers and the ppsspp is still not working with it. Oh and hi I am new.

emulates the keyboard with Xpadder (software free)

Mine was working the 1st time then quit. My controller is a Saitek P2500 rumble. My ppsspp is v0.9.6.2. I would like help as much as this guy would thank you.

I tried xpadder back on win8, never fully worked but I'll give it a try again if it does work on ubuntu
