RE: [Tutorial] How to use Hamachi
I've been trying to play over Hamachi with a friend, we've done exactly like in the tutorial (everyone has the host's Hamachi ipv4 in their ppsspp.ini, only the host has the server on) but every time either of us tries to host a game in Peace Walker the host gets a connection error.
This is what AdhocSever.exe prompts Quote:Listening for Connections on TCP Port 27312.The "started" prompt comes after entering mission selector, "joined" when I pick a channel to host on and "left" immediately afterwards. Ps. The fact that they misspelt 'server' really grinds my gears |

RE: [Tutorial] How to use Hamachi
So...
One of my friends and myself did everything that the tutorial said, with Hamachi IPs,MAC adresses different,AdHoc server running on one computer etc...And still,no results. When we try to play BBCS2,I create the room (I'm the one hosting the server and the one who created the Hamachi network) and when he searches for the room in the Network mode, nothing is found. Help please...? We really don't understand what is going on. |

RE: [Tutorial] How to use Hamachi
This tutorial is outdated and doesn't cover everything. Please update the first post to not mislead people i think i've even lost a friend while trying to resolve his problem until i finally found the solution. Please add this to your first post.
You'll need to open these ports in order to host games on Hamachi VPN. TCP 32976 TCP 27312 TCP 12975 TCP 443 UDP 17771 Do a test yourself without DMZ and with these ports closed and see if your friends will be able to see your games hosted in Metal Slug XX on Hamachi, they won't. Of course some games don't need it (like Tekken 6) and hence why many people get confused, me included, because in a game this popular, you hosted fine however in others you can't and you assume it's the games fault but it isn't. You just didn't have these ports open. I thought to myself, it kinda defeats the purpose needing DMZ to play on Hamachi because the goal is just that, Hamachi is for people who can't or don't want to have all the ports open just to play online (coldbird.net). But then the confusion, why would i need to open these ports for Hamachi to be able to emulate port forwarding via direct tunneling? Well, turns out Hamachi needs these ports to emulate them properly. |

Hey, Stupid question but do you have to use hamachi? Couldn't I just port forward from my own router and host a session?
