PPSSPP just stopped working :(
I used to play it alot but due to the girl keeping time away, I haven't been able to play anything in a month or 2. Sat down ready to play God Eater Burst and it just stopped working. Everytime I open it it says it just crashes and windows tries to finds a solution. It worked perfectly fine before so I don't know what happen. I even downloaded up to the newest release...I have windows 8 but it worked before so that shouldn't be a problem should it?

I also ran the debug exe but it says it can't start because MSVCP100D.dll is missing. The only thing I did that might that have caused a problem was when earlier today I use eraser to wipe free space for extra memory, would that have caused a problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated

RE: PPSSPP just stopped working :(
Does it help if you delete or rename your ppsspp.ini? Sometimes bad inis can cause crashes.

RE: PPSSPP just stopped working :(
oh never did that..I think? Honestly like I said I haven't played any games in months so I forgot how to navigate around and all the terms due to her so trying to fix it fast before she gets me busy again

I'll try that and report back Smile

honestly I can't find the .ini but one thing I noticed was when I went to memstick then system it was empty, it was supposed to be like that? On the one I had it was just saved_data and ppsspp state so what is this new stuff? Is ini in on eof those and I can I copy my saved data to this?

RE: PPSSPP just stopped working :(
If you were using a really old version of PPSSPP, the ini file is likely in the same directory as the exe. If it's not there either, maybe check your Documents folder.

How did you update PPSSPP? Did you overwrite your old PPSSPP.exe? Or did you delete the folder and extract a fresh one?

RE: PPSSPP just stopped working :(
I deleted and extraced a new one

I checked my documents but it was not even there..that's strange because if I remember right I remember randomly finding it there one time when looking for something else.Do you think my eraser program might have deleted it??

Thanks for the help by the way! much appreciated

RE: PPSSPP just stopped working :(
I doubt it. PPSSPP only writes files into the Documents folder under specific circumstances.

So if you're using a fresh ini file, that rules out a bad config..hm..what sort of PC do you have? Like CPU, GPU, etc.?

That's be your GPU.

Can you check if the 0.9.5 and 0.9.6 stable releases work for you? What versions of PPSSPP did you try when it started crashing?
