Does PPSSPP run on my notebook?
Well, hello. If you're a seasoned user, you must've seen massive amounts of posts like this and for that I apologize. I have little to no time when it comes to internet and no experience at all with eletronics and such. Which is precisely why I came to this forum.

I recently obtained a custom notebook with the following specs:
- Processor: Intel i7
- Video card: GeForce 770M
- RAM: 8GB
- SSHD 1TB capacity

Thanks for the help, to any who might give it.

as long as it supports OpenGL 2.0 or above, it should work

RE: Does PPSSPP run on my notebook?
This is all you really needed to look at:

Tongue

That's one of the newest NVidia GPUs, so it should support OpenGL 4.X easily. I would wager that PPSSPP would run pretty much every game with no speed problems whatsoever on such a laptop. NVidia also gives the benefit of generally having less graphics issues, but keep in mind PPSSPP is still a WIP, and not every game runs perfectly (or at all) yet.

TL;DR: NVidia? Check. Intel i7 CPU? Check. Good to go for basically every PSP game that PPSSPP plays? Yes.

Thanks once again to my helpers.

So the GeForce 770M is a good videocard, huh? I was short $250 so I couldn't get the 780M, guess it wasn't a total loss.

RE: Does PPSSPP run on my notebook?
Compared to a desktop GPU it's probably pretty wimpy (laptop GPUs usually are), but for PPSSPP, it should be more than enough. Emulators are typically more CPU dependent than GPU dependent.

Basically, most games would run full speed on a $20 laptop videocard. Your rig is about 10x more powerful than needed for PPSSPP. Remember, this emulator runs perfectly on mobile phones.

Yours is so fast it could easily run Dolphin (Wii) games.

Eh, not all phones. Some still really struggle to run heavy games like Pangya, God of War, and Tekken.

Yes, all phones that support GLES2. Not all games though Smile.
