I can load my own savefile (and yours too) and i can get to the lobby just fine, but when i tried to move my character the screen goes black,no sound either.
Could you share your build? If you can play it then maybe the build i downloaded just doesn't work for me.

I haven't tried they newer ones because in recent build, they added WASAPI, making the game's sound buzzy and dropping for no reason

I have a PPSSPP build that works in 1.30 based on v0.9.8-1559-gb370621. Everything is fine except that you have to restart the emulator after doing one mission, as it will crash. Since I can't post links in here you'll have to PM me instead, and I can give you the build + patch/diff file.

huh Undecided I thought that GE2 1.00 to 1.30 can be played on latest builds without any bugs. Those bugs are fixed recently including the mission crash.

1.4 is the only one remaning with bugs. NPC bug Undecided

Well I just tried latest buildbot build as of this post -- v0.9.9.1-1582-g08eaa6e, and yup, 1.30 still crashes if you move your character after loading the game, that's why I have to dig up an old build just to play 1.30. Not sure about the earlier GE2 versions though.

RE: God Eater 2
This thread is always depressing @_@, time for at least a bit good news at least for people that can play it in high res.
As probably everyone who can play in higher res noticed this game bloom looks awful and it's abused for pretty much everything including characters and pretty much whole screen in most cutscenes:]. Finally thanks to [Unknown] brilliant idea we now can deal with it using "Lower resolution for effects (reduces artifacts)" hack.
It basically detects lower buffer sizes which is used usually for bloom and other blurry effects and keeps them at x1 res. It has 3 presets because it can also potentially decrease resolution of things which aren't effects if game also uses lower buffer size for them and would make them look pixelate, however from my testing I did not noticed anything like that happening in games which had bloom, and "safe" preset should be good enough to deal with GE2.Smile

Here's a comparism of cutscene(without subs, so no spoilers:3) made in x10 res:

- one in which you can clearly notice kind of like a ghost of character and messed up edges of the screen which all is caused by bloom being too sharp in high res,

- and one with a hack which keeps the low res for effect making them appear like psp bloom without decreasing resolution for other stuff.

I don't really have to say which one looks better :]. Ofc the hack does nothing in x1 res, and in lower res like x2/x3 the difference will not be as obvious either, but still should help with making psp like bloom improving the experience in our broken game.:3

What cause this problem isnt the resolution itself, the problem is caused by buffer render, just change it to cpu or gpu buff render and it will be fixed (buffer render still have a long way to be completed).

RE: God Eater 2
Dude, don't try to sound smart, read framebuffers to memory is glitchy, not recommended and will very likely be removed in the future. It's not a fix for anything and should be used only for testing.

The issue IS caused by resolution, because the psp bloom is done by capturing buffer and decreasing it's size a few times to blur things out. When you use high rendering res, it samples it at way too high res resulting in details being visible.

Edit: The reason why you might think read framebuffers to memory helps in this is because it also keeps x1 res, however it does that to everything it reads, not just smaller size buffers used for bloom effects. Still it's glitchy and looks ugly, not even close to the buffered rendering + hack.

RE: God Eater 2
When you use read framebuffers to memory, two things happen:
* Any render-to-texture effect is forced to 1x, which will cause (in various games) low resolution graphics.
* Random glitches and crashing will start happening because the option overwrites important memory with garbage.

If you use the option and get crashes, please do not waste our time by posting them here. We already disable error reporting when you use this option because we are not interested in the reports.

If you like the way the game behaves with "read framebuffers to memory", you'll probably want to stop updating PPSSPP in a little while, since that option is definitely planned for removal. You may never end up with a version of PPSSPP that both works with NPCs and has that feature, I guess.
