Thumbs Up Rumors about the Galaxy S5
I was searching about Galaxy S5, and I saw some rumors about that. Well, the phone will simply great if the rumors are right. The machine will come with the new Exynos 5430 (EDIT: I saw in others sites that will be the Exynos 6, I don't know if is the same), the first Samsung 64-bits processor, and with real Octa-Core processor (all cores working at same time). They says also it will come with 4Gb of RAM. If that is true, we'll have a mini computer in our hands Smile. And if the Note 3 come with 2.3Ghz, probably the Galaxy S5 will come with more, I think will be about 2.5Ghz or more. I also saw there's some weeks that the Cortex A57 will come with 3.0Ghz. Will Galaxy S5 come with that clock? But I saw the Cortex A53 will come with less clock than A57, maybe the Galaxy S5 come with that.

The important is that will be a great device, and it may be a new age to games and emulators (and some others apps, of course). I'm amazed with this device, and crazy to get one. Big Grin

Flagships?? Not everyone can afford a top end smartphone..
Hopefully in a couple of years 64bit becomes the norm in smart phones/tablets.

Low end to mid range...... wishful thinking.lol

RE: Rumors about the Galaxy S5
How much do you think it will cost? Well, I don't know the price of others phones in dollar to guess a price, but I think will cost about R$2.500-3.000 in Brazil. The Galaxy S4 was released costing R$2.500, and the Note 3 about R$2.800. If the S5 has a high price, I think I'll buy the S4, that will be costing R$1.700 in December. I'd like a 64-bit phone, but I think these processors will be not so needed before 2015, at least. But the OpenGL ES 3.0 will be, and the S4 has it

Well, the 64-bitz processor will not need so much power as the currently processors. But I guess will be about 3.000mAh. Smile

All their new Exynos chipsets will be 64bit, despite range.

RE: Rumors about the Galaxy S5
OK that's good news...hopefully other manufacturers will follow suit, although I do like Samsung.
@VIRGIN KLM : any chance of a link where you read that all upcoming samsungs would use the 64bit?
I find it hard to believe that low to mid range will house these processors.. while still remainin wallet friendly.

btw.. I'm not disagreein but more sceptical.

I have 2 or 3 separate announcements that confirm what I say as a whole but the only one I could remember at the top of my mind is this one:

http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_to_add_6...s-6782.php

It's more or less saying that slowly they will use on their new Exynos chipsets 64bit architecture (and only that from 2014 and after).
