Does this effect all snapdragon or just the newest chipsets?

Auto frameskipp does peak at full speed but it must default to 3, its laggy.. hope there's some sort of fix for this, maybe my phone just isn't fast enouph..

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
idk if this has been posted but, does ppsspp on android take advantage of NEON? if not, will it?

I ask this because when i used nds4droid, it was super slow with pokemon. When i tried Drastic Ds emulator, it runs my nds games at full speed. the dev said that it uses neon and the app was specifically design for android (not ported like the other emus).

So i assume this will also help speed up ppsspp?

That's a good question, because even dolphin emu alpha for android has NEON support.

Catch me if you can't catch me if you can't Cats are nice.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
PPSSPP already uses NEON in a few parts, it can use it more. If you check this topic more you will see that there's been discussion about how Snapdragon doesn't perform well with NEON, but the vertex decoding using NEON did help.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Not tried many git builds until today since 0.9.6.. why is it a lot slower than it was, any major changes?
Games like soul calibur ,Tekken DR etc ran a lot faster 0.9.6.. I'm using the usual settings most hacks etc..
Dual core a5: adreno 203?

PS: if you need my settings ill post them but I'm using the same settings now as I was I'm 0.9.6 but its 2/3 times slower than it was back then?? tried last 5 or 6 git builds.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
I don't think enabling the depth buffer copy on mobile helped matters.

If you could test versions going back (I recommend testing by halves), and narrow down to which was first slow, we can probably improve it.
