True, at least he made the right decision and his ppsspp issues are cleared upSmile
Could of been worse and chose a really bad cpu/gpu.

yeah m8, just got a new phone myself.. now I have 2 (xperia u) dual core a9 Mali 400 gpu, I'm surprised how fast it is.. almost twice as fast as my dual core a5Smile
a9 are rapid.

Yeah, but xperia u is a low/mid range device.. very powerfull, only drawback is screen size.. 3.5" lol I'm use to 4" screens and above.

Its as powerfull as the galaxy s2 (very fastSmile)

Put it one way I'm playin tekken5 with frameskipp 1 full speed, whereas my dual core a5 needs frameskipp 3 lol, I feel I made the correct decision.. the best thing is, it was free.. my mum gave it to me as she kept getting dropped calls.

Well it's a shame that my HTC one has the snapdragon brand processor. And it appears to be slow.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
Hi all, new member. Just downloaded 0.9.6 from Google store for my Nexus 7 2013. Only game I have an interest in playing on it was Crisis Core, and I'm amazed that after just a little playing around, the game runs between 28/30 and 35/30 at 98-115% speed. All I had to do was reset all the settings to stock, postprocessing shader is off, render resolution is 1:1, Hardware transform, Software Skinning, Vertex Cache are all set to on. Upscale level is 3x hybrid + bicubic with Deposterize on. 16x AF, auto texture filter, no hacks.

I tried this before when it was on 0.9.1, and it was nothing like this. You guys are legends!

* the new Frameskip auto doesnt look good on MHFu on android.
* last build i used was 0.9.6-61..
* but i just checked 138, and played again..
* the game looks choppy and laggy in movements.
* can we revert back to old frameskip auto? or something?

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
I was shocked when yesterday I've tried tekken 5 on my Xperia U (1Ghz NovaThor+Mali400, very slow device) it runs tekken 5 as good as my Xperia Z and HTC One... What I know about Qualcomm for sure is that they have ridiculously bugged drivers, v14 is the worst one, but even v53, latest one on nexus 5 messed up many things which was okay in v45, not like they haven't solved bugs from v45 but they brought new ones.. So perhaps that's drivers what cause slowdown on snapdragon devices..

This phone runs ppsspp very wellSmile The new dreamcast emu(reicast) runs full speed to.

Only drawback with this phone is no memory slot.

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
I really liked this phone (gave it to my cousin) but what I'm trying to say is that novathor somehow manages to give almost the same results as snapdragon 600 ruining ppsspp, being much slower in performance. Like I've said there might be an issue with Qualcomm drivers

* i've tried many builds , up to now.
* and sadly, my mid-range android is still suffering from that code, in games namely MHFu and God Eater Burst.
* so.. if that code doesnt help in speed, in general users..
* may i request for it to be reverted to old way of Auto Frameskipping?
* heehee..
* if not, its fine, Smile

RE: Current state of Snapdragon-based CPUs in PPSSPP
I bought the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (S800, of course Wink) and hoped PPSSPP would run fine, but many games are pretty much unplayable (e.g. GoW only 40% speed). I followed any advice and tried so many options, it simply still lags. Same thing with Daxter and Ratchet and Clank Size Matters. However, MHFU runs fine.
I would be happy to see a fix for this. Once it is "fixed" (yeah, I know it is not easy) I will definitely buy the PPSSPP Gold edition.

>>>> mmm..
i also have mr. globe94's problem.
on Monster Hunter and Harvest Moon (the games i have for now Smile)
when i changed from 0.9.62 to the 0.9.6-451.
the character's movement is choppy with Auto Frameskip.
with Frameskip 1, movement is fine. but with lower FPS.

how i can solve this? should i go back to 0.9.62 ? thanks

and BTW, i use Local brand phone, with Adreno Gpu.
i dont have high end device yet Undecided
thats why i can see the changes in speed clearly Smile
