PPSSPP keyboard?

I'm trying to play monster hunter freedom unite but when I need to input my name, I have no way of typing?

Use the dpad to move the cursor around, and whatever you bound to your confirmation button(cross or circle, whatever you had set in the options) to input letters/numbers. It's like the real PSP. Or are you saying the game hangs when the keyboard comes up?

Is a keyboard supposed to "pop" up? There is nowhere to select any characters, I haven't had this problem with other games where you had to enter names. Thanks for the help.

Um..are you pressing the confirm button after highlighting Name? Nothing will pop up if you don't..
