PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
Hello guys, I was wondering why I can't run 3d psp games at full speed or even at playable speed (let's disregard sounds here)
So CM Fusion Bolt (Cherry Mobile Fusion Bolt) is a tablet made locally here in the Philippines. I was wondering if you guys have settings for ppssp to play 3d psp games at playable speed, it's enough for me.
Specs:
Android 4.1.1 JB
7inch HD IPS display, 1280x800 res, 261ppi
1GHz QuadCore Actions Semiconductor ATM7025 processor
Vivante GC1000+ GPU
1gb ram, 8gb internal, 16gb external
rooted
PPSSPP ver 0.9.1-7-gb677c81

i tried the guide for maximizing performance (I can play Dissidia012 for at least 15-17 speed but Monster Hunter Freedom Unite at 5-11 speed)
i figured that the more the game shows (sceneries, characters, monsters, npc, backgrounds, effects, etc) the more the game will slow down.
So any suggestions would be welcome! Waiting for a new release! Kudos

I believe I have the latest build 'cause playstore isn't updating ppsspp. If that's the case, might as we new release.

The Google Play store can only deliver the official non-beta releases.

Since then new beta builds have been made daily, currently at build number 1660 after that release, so the differences are HUGE. However, for Android devices there has been a crashing problem in builds 1641 through 1660, so for such a device it's now best to use build 1640. (Hopefully that problem will be fixed in a day or two.)

You can find that build on the page linked to by globe94 in his post.
It will be a long way down from the top entry of that page, with the precise build ID: "ppsspp-v0.9.1-1640-g996e468".

If you want a PC version I think the newer ones might also work.

Best regards: dlanor

RE: PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
Windows builds are unaffected by the crashing, at least on NVidia GPUs/Windows 7.

RE: PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
a pinoy Smile im also planning on buying the CM fusion bolt, but this tablet's CPU aint good enough to run the more 3D games, the GPU doesnt help either, the score of the CPU in benchmarks (with all threads enabled) is comparable to the dual A9s these days, and im talking about the Ainol Novo lite firmware update (0328) since the stock OS doesnt even give half of the alleged 11k score, BTW the CM Fusion Bolt is a rebranded ainol novo lite thats why it can have that firmware... well at least it has a very good battery and screen for the price, its great for watching videos and reading manga Smile

RE: PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
what CM cosmos model? X,X2,Z,or S? all of these phones have the same mediatek 6589 SoC which is a quad core A7 chip paired with a powervr544 GPU... the A7 CPU is weaker than the A9 CPU used on phones like the CM Flame but the GPU is better... I still cant fully recommend it since the emu doesnt seem to like powervr chips but its stronger though, the dual A9 is more recommended since the emu still isnt very stable at multithreading and beefier CPU cores are better than lotsa wimpy CPU cores in this case... At your question about which is better, I think the CM fusion bolt is better since it uses Quad core A9 harvard Superscalar multiprocessor cores,The vivante gc1000+ is weaker than the powervr544 though...

I'm also a CM user here. I have a Flame 2.0 phone. Works together with ppsspp nicely. I recently finished Dissidia Duodecim.

RE: PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
Im a cloudfone user, Thrill 430D to be exact, terrible battery life (1450mAh), even worse than CM flare, but good design (doesnt look cheap at all and a lot of my friends have mistaken it as a xperia phone) SoC is MT6577, good cpu, bad GPU (PPSSPP doent like powervr GPUs)
overall nice phone, well I wish this was the Thrill 430X with that huge 4000mAh battery but oh well...

sorry, too lazy to type, but you can figure this out for sure, hehe...

currently playing fate/extra, gungnir, and yu-gi-oh 5ds tag force 6(free duel only) with the settings on 100% fps, with occasional but tolerable lags, caused by the sound, I think...
haven't tried with heavy 3d games yet, and not hoping to run any decently...

my fb is still on its stock rom, by the way...

any suggestions to improve my settings? pls reply

thanks^^

RE: PPSSPP on CM Fusion Bolt
I retract my statement above, the CPU cores of CM fusion Bolt is actually an A5 rather than an A9 core, I recently tested this and the quad A5 on the tablet is weaker than the usual dual A9 of phones, example of usual dual A9 is my phone, and the GPU is bugged, try playing subway surfers and the character animation isnt properly shown... the CM fusion Bolt that Im talking about has the Ainol Novo Venus firmware(JB 4.1.1 0528)...
