Processor - AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ @2109MHz
Video Card - ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO 512MB
RAM - 2 GB

Most games I played so far work at max fps at all time without any problems though. Brave Story for example which is graphically around the same quality as this game works flawless, so I don't see why this game wouldn't. The only other game where I had similiar issue was Final Fantasy Tactics where I get a huge slowdown right before and during any kind of attack animations.

RE: Hexyz Force
Your pc is fine, the game don't need powerful pc.
Try opening the console(Debug=>Log Console)and if something is appearing non-stop when the speed goes down

Ok

I opened the console and nothing is "appearing non-stop". However there are some red colored errors and what not.

I also get yellow colored lines saying something like "FBO using other buffer as depthbuffer (unsupported)" and "FBO sharing existing depthbuffer (unsupported)" but I seem to get those yellow ones on other games too so I'd guess they're normal.

RE: Hexyz Force
I get those too but other than this,I didn't notest anything wrong(going to different areas never slowed the speed down)

Ok here are the problems I encounter(some weird ones)...default settings

1.The defaut BGM volume is 7 and if you leave it like that(I always set both to 8),you will notest weird sound effects everywhere(like they are running at lower speed)

2.Probably because of weak pc...the speed goes way down when I make certain attacks(it's fine if I set the rendering resolution to 2x...I always keep it to 2x anyway)

3.While trying to create save state, ppsspp crashed and for a reason,it was this file msvcr100.dll

Try the latest beta
http://buildbot.orphis.net/ppsspp/

Hm, I have no problems with sound like that on the default audio settings. And so far the game didn't slow down during battles at all.

I tried lowering the rendering resolution to 2x to see will I get any fps boost in those areas. The graphics quality of course went down A LOT but the FPS was exactly the same as with 1:1 rendering resolution.

I'll try the beta version tommorow. It's getting late here so I don't feel like messing around with this anymore today.

Thx for trying to help btw. I really hope we'll manage to find a solution for this soon, because this game looks really promising.

RE: Hexyz Force
Hmm,try disabling Hardware Transform.
Other than damaged image or problem related to ATI cards(there are games that have problems when you play them with ATI video card),I don't have any other ideas.

...or maybe your video drivers

Tried disabling HT, nothing changed. Yeah I did hear that some games got issues with ATI cards.

Can someone who's using ATI let me know how does the game work for him? So we could see is the problem in that or something else.

RE: Hexyz Force
Ok got it fixed, thanks to solarmystic's thread about ATI cards and PPSSPP and thanks to Ritori who gave me a link to that thread.

I disabled Catalyst A.I. in CCC like solarmystic suggested in his thread and this fixed the lags and slowdowns in Hexyz Force (as well as in other games I had this issues with).

A couple people have had this problem and it seems like it's always a bad rip. Try re-ripping from the original UMD.

RE: Hexyz Force
Hi guys, I joust started playing, but I have I slight problem, It seems that there isn't any sound in save menu and has a little Square instead of Hexagon in the upper left corner.

Here are ss for comparison and general idea what's going on
Mine http://i44.tinypic.com/16bf3mx.jpg
How it's supposed to lookhttp://i42.tinypic.com/28a7zg7.jpg

The emulation froze when I "touched" Save Point leading out of the 1st city, and at other random save points too...

EDIT: Basically Game runs smoothly, Only risk I am having is that it freezes at save points, So I am relying on save states... Which sometimes too make an emulator freeze, any idea what's causing it to brake at save points and save states specifically?

EDIT: I downgreaded to v0.9.5 , graphical and sound glitches in the save menu are still there BUT game doesn't freeze anymore
This is what it reads when game is frozen

Edit: Disregard; this was due to me not understanding a game feature properly.

RE: Hexyz Force
I'm getting similar audio crackling/stutter/etc. to that in Final Fantasy I(assuming everyone else gets it and knows what I'm referring to). Tested on v0.9.7.2-116-g909fc3d.

I'm getting the impression that this audio issue is currently present in multiple games?
