RE: Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection
On Xperia Z the game runs like my old iphone4SAngry! It's a problem of optimization, the other games like ghost goblins runs better!

@Togniesmo

Nah, your phone is too weak for this game until they optimize it. This is one of the more CPU heavier games like Tekken 6 and God of War which cannot be played fast enough on mobile devices until optimized. Ghost and Gobllins is a much lighter game that shouldn't be compared with this one.

Last tested this on 7.6-691 galaxy note 2 getting 35-40 vps consistently around 38. Textures during pre fight intros are now more complete, still notice a few missing here and there. Now instead of the whole face texture missing now it's half a face for a few fighters and full faces for others. Oh and the lifebars are incomplete. Everything shows except the green part of the lifebar.

He means when you do dojo battle mode sometimes the next battle comes up as a black screen. It loads and the fight begins because the hud shows, just nothing else.

RE: Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection
The weird faces and the bad graphics is because of Mali GPUS. They support shaders that their instructions can be up to 500 words long but ALOT (if not most and not just in Tekken 5 DR) of them are over that limmit so a graphical bug will appear. To make things worse, there aren;t any really efficient ways to come around that issue, it can be considered an uncorrectable bottlenecking factor to quality and the only good way to fix that is using SW rendering which will be really slow. It's more or less a hardware limitation of Mali GPUS that PPSSPP hates it.

Ah, so it's a mobile issue. That explains why I've never encountered it before.

About the incomplete lifebars, you can fix that by disabling Hardware Transform in the Graphics Options. It will reduce performance, but it fixes the UI and a few other things in Tekken 5. It is a known issue on Windows as well.

That did the trick, thanks. Vps took too much of a hit though, might be better off playing blindly lol.

RE: Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection
Sooo.. Is there any simple way to get the ghost characters working? .. I believe they must be imported into the save folder for Tekken DR somewhere, I can't seem to make it happen. You cannot switch ghost data 'on' in the pause menu while fighting & ghost packs are pretty much always empty. one of the dojo's seem impossible to complete without any ghosts.

No, PPSSPP is not compatible with this type of data. The implementation is the same type of implementation as installation data so until this type of data gets implemented GHOSTs won't work. It's not mandatory though compared to other games.

Massive fix corrected music/ambience stopping abruptly after 2 seconds, thanx to Uknown.

BTW, I noticed something rather weird, dynno if it was always there but I freaked out a bit for a split second.

Game can almost be considered to have feature parity on PPSSPP as on the original PSP, except for 4 remaining issues:-

1) During character intros (when they speak and introduce themselves), no voices can be heard. This is the only remaining audio issue for this game that I know of.

2) HW Transform still has to be off to get correct UI rendering of the health bars for example.

3) FMVs still unviewable (awaiting the merge from the media branch)

4) Ghost data still can't be utilized properly
