I spot a weird crashing bug in 0.9.1
This is a minor bug but just wanted to let you know just in case.

The emu crash when changing your nickname and putting a symbol like minus (-) or plus (+) in the name.

To reproduce this issue you need to change the nickname and then quit the emu, so next time you run the emu and open the nickname window you have to close it by pressing Ok or Cancel but then the emu will crash when you press the Back button.

Example:

Therock (this won't crash the emu)
The-rock (this will crash the emu when pressing Back)
The+rock (this will crash the emu when pressing Back)

[CPU]: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz
[GPU]: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5
[PSU]: EVGA SuperNOVA G1 1000W (80 Plus Gold)
[RAM]: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz
[MOBO]: MSI Z97-GAMING 5
[PC CASE]: ENERMAX Ostrog GT (Red)
[CPU FAN]: Cooler Master: Hyper 212 EVO

I'm not at my PC at the moment, but see if it still happens when you have a freshly created PPSSPP.ini(back it up and then delete the original).

4GHz AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 6GB Nvidia RTX 2060, Asus Crosshair 7 Hero (Wifi), Linux

I downloaded the official 0.9.1 and tried it out again and it crashed, dunno why you're not getting the crash tho, i'm using the 32-bit version btw.

Yep, it was with a freshly created .ini dude, but if no one is getting this issue then is all good, i don't mind if i'm the only one with the issue since i hardly change the nickname but just wanted to point out this little issue.

This is how i reproduce the issue:

1 - This is a freshly extracted 0.9.1

2 - I run PPSSPP and change the nickname to:

3 - I close PPSSPP from the GUI by pressing Back and Exit, then i run PPSSPP again.

4 - Again i open the nickname window but this time i press Cancel to close it.

5 - Then i press Back and i get this little crash.

Tried a lot of different things and it didn't crash
Where the ppsspp folder is placed...not in program files right?

The folder is in the desktop.

I still don't know why i'm getting the crash but i don't mind about that issue since i don't change nicknames so it doesn't bother me one bit.

Edit:

Do this, with a freshly created .ini change the nickname to The-rock and then close the emu, but don't close it pressing X in the windows menu, close the emu from the GUI by pressing Back and Exit.

I noticed that the crash happens more frequently if i close the emu from the GUI in the first try.

RE: I spot a weird crashing bug in 0.9.1
The question is, did it fix it? I dunno. I wasn't really able to reproduce it.

It got fixed now, thanks.

I tried one of the latest build (v0.9.1-52-ga3fa3c9) which didn't got the fix implemented yet and it crashed. But then i tried the latest one (ppsspp-v0.9.1-60-g06a2d94) which got the fix implemented and this time it didn't crash. So the crashing bug is now fixed.

I don't know why your name says Amateur PPSSPP Contributor, you're obviously pretty good at this.
