Mapping X axis of thumbstick to L/R buttons? (Android)
I was recently trying to play Persona 3 Portable and the camera is difficult to control due to the L/R buttons being out of reach. Is it possible to map the X axis of the thumbstick to the L/R buttons to make it easier to play?

Also I was wondering if it was planned, in a future version, to have the thumbstick available everywhere on the screen. For example, I was playing Dead Trigger and you can press anywhere on the left side of the screen to use the thumbstick.

Sure, just bind them; it should just work, at least on Windows..

It does for my PS2 -> USB adapter, anyway. Tongue

I'm not Dark_Alex, nor do I claim to be. Our nicknames are merely coincidence.

Oh, right. I forgot to mention that I was on Android. Sorry.

Oh, you mean with the touch controls. Sorry, I probably shouldn't have assumed.

Right now, key binding only applies to keyboards, mice, and game pads as far as I know, so no, you can't do this currently.

Even if you are using Android you might still have a chance to use a real gamepad, depending on what kind of support (if any) your device has for gamepads connected by USB and/or Bluetooth.

A cheap tablet I have works fine with normal PS2 gamepads connected by a PS2->USB adapter, just like daxtsu mentioned, so that kind of thing is not just for PCs. And for my Ouya I naturally use its native Bluetooth gamepad. (And I use its right analog pad for the PPSSPP "Select" and "Start" buttons.)

I'm not sure what kind of Android unit you have, but I suggest you check out what capabilities it has for adding a gamepad by either USB or Bluetooth.

Best regards: dlanor
