Information Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - Downloadable contents (Updated Feb. 2020)
I make this thread in order to show all the downloadable contents for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite ! Smile

You can't access to these contents with PPSSPP. You need a PSP to download them.
However, with the help of several tools, HenryEx and me managed to create some tools in order to bypass the problem. All you need is a computer with Windows Smile

I assume that you have never used these tools, so your save is "clean", as it was created by the game, in normal conditions.
It means that your save is encrypted by the PSP and also by the game itself. Don't worry, it will be explained later in this tutorial.

The following tutorial seems very long, but you will see that the procedure will become really easy when you will get used to it Smile

Step 1 : Prepare your save
  • Search for your MHFU save folder, it must be located in "your_ppsspp_folder\memstick\PSP\SAVEDATA".
  • If you use the EU version of the game, it is named "ULES01213", open it.
  • If you use the US version of the game, it is named "ULUS10391", open it.
  • The 2 files that are relevant to this tutorial are "MHP2NDG.BIN" and "PARAM.SFO".
Step 2 : Prepare the save tools
  1. Download the MHFU Save Tools archive || EDIT by Abbanon (2/19/2020): Use >>this new link<< to download the Save Tools archive, since the old link is dead.
  2. Extract it somewhere, for example on your Desktop.
  3. Open the "MHFU Save Tools" folder.
  4. From your "ULES01213" or "ULUS10391" folder, move "MHP2NDG.BIN" and "PARAM.SFO" in your "MHFU Save Tools" folder.
Step 3 : Let's go !
  1. Double-click the file named "save tools.bat".
  2. A command prompt appears. As explained in it, type the number of your choice and press "Enter" key to confirm. Do not be mistaken !
  3. You need to decrypt your save to remove the PSP encryption first, so, type "1" and confirm.
  4. The command prompt verifies that your save is encrypted, it should be. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  5. Your save is now decrypted from the PSP encryption. It's time to decrypt it from the game encryption, as the command prompt is suggesting. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  6. The command prompt warns you that it will extract the content of your save in addition to decrypt it. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  7. Wait until the command prompt tells you to "Press RETURN to quit". Do it Wink ("Return" key = "Enter key")
  8. Your save is now decrypted from the game encryption and is ready to be edited as its files have been extracted. It's time to download quests for your save, as the command prompt is suggesting. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  9. We will toggle on AutoList to automatically add the quests we will download for your save. To do this, type "a" and confirm. You should now see "[AutoList]" written on the top right corner of the command prompt. Type "9" and confirm to continue.
  10. As explained, choose which type of quest you want to download. Type "1" and confirm to download an event quest or type "2" and confirm to download a challenge quest.
  11. You can look at all the quests available by switching pages, type "+" and confirm to switch.
  12. When you have chosen the quest you want to download, type the number written in front of it and confirm to download it.
  13. Wait until the command prompt tells you to "Press RETURN to quit". Do it Wink ("Return" key = "Enter key")
  14. The command prompt asks if you want to download another quest, if you want to, type "1" and confirm to continue. You will have to repeat steps 10 to 13. If you don't want to, type "0" and confirm to continue.
  15. You have now downloaded all the quests you want to add to your save (please remember that you can't add more than 6 quests at once). The command prompt shows you its main menu. It's time to encrypt your save as the game does. Type "4" and confirm to continue.
  16. Here is also the moment to unlock all the bonus contents to your save. If you want to, type "6" and confirm to mark the corresponding line with a "+" sign. Type "9" and confirm to start game encryption.
  17. Wait until the command prompt tells you to "Press RETURN to quit". Do it Wink ("Return" key = "Enter key")
  18. Your save is now encrypted as the game does. It's time to encrypt it as the PSP does, as the command prompt is suggesting. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  19. The command prompt verifies that your save is not already PSP encrypted, it shouldn't be. Type "1" and confirm to continue.
  20. You have finished, congratulations ! As the command prompt is suggesting, you now have to move back "MHP2NDG.BIN" and "PARAM.SFO" in your MHFU save folder. Type "0" and confirm to close the command prompt.

Warnings :
  • Bonus contents are all downloaded automatically, so even if you want one or two bonus contents, you will get all ! Wink
  • You can't add more than 6 quests, at once, to your save.
  • The save tools can do more things than explained in this tutorial. Only use these others functionalities if you really know what you are doing.
  • It has been reported that the save tools doesn't work on Windows XP, I personally don't know why...
FAQ :

♦ I don't play the game in English and I see in your screenshots that all is in English... Will the downloadable contents be in English too ?
>> No, all the downloadable contents are automatically translated when you choose a language at the launch of the game Smile

♦ I have encountered a bug while using the tools. What should I do ?
>> You should send a PM to HenryEx to explain him how the bug happened, in order to help fixing it.
