Let's wait the ARMv8 phones, it will has the same performance of an PC. If has a 2.5Ghz processor and a powerful GPU someone can start a PS2 emulator project Wink

ARMv7 @ 2.25GHz is not equal to let's say i3 @ 2.25GHz. One is RISC and the other is CISC, also Intel processors tend to have better per-clock performance ratios to any other semiconductor company's products so the number is simply a balooney. I can make a mobile processor that it will clock at 4GHz but will perform worse than your 1.8GHz phone. It's exactly the same thing as the marketing of mobile phone cameras and having as quality standard the amount of Megapixels it packs. Everybody knows it doesn't really matter if your camera has even 500 megapixels if it is unable to have some other basic standars as clarity, low/high light performance etc. They should atleast promote their cameras acording to PSNR which is a more acurate and super-fair calculation but nobody has the guts to do such thing in the industry to be honest, it's always a trick behind. The clocks of mobile devices it's another one, or better, possibly the worst one of them all.

RE: LG G2...
then how about, study phone making then buy all the best spare parts needed and put it together to create a customized phone?

( pretty surreal isn't it? )

I would like to have a GPU like the 9800gt and a CPU like Intel Core 2 Duo E5400 in my phone, it's a good configurations (isn't the best) for games. Big Grin. It will take some years to it happen. Smile

RE: LG G2...
The problem with that is not that it can't get shrinked in size to be packed in a mobile phone, the thing is that it will still need the same wattage to operate plus it will nead proper cooling since it will raise crazy heat... It doesn't sound like a huge deal but archieving a thing like this having in mind equal performance with the mobile and the non mobile version of a CPU usualy takes atleast 5-6 years to archieve.

Because of this I said "it will take some years". Smile

I'm not worring to Android games, because them has not quality. The mobile "gamers" want to good graphics as the consoles, and the companies makes what the public wants, but according to the phone's support. But they forget some very important details, like shadows, lighting and some shaders effects, if they add that, the graphics will need be reduced, and, nevertheless, the Android's GPUs doesn't support so much details, but the most basics would be good. I prefer graphics like PS2 with some of these effect than the current mobile graphics (poor).

RE: LG G2...
You do realise, while all these things take time, they will have already done them... behind close doors. They release technology in stages for profit.
They'll more than likely have a galaxy s 9 in the worksSmile
These companies are way ahead of what they show, but why release all at once? when they can introduce gradually and make more money.
IMO , they'll already have nano tech mobile phones.. believe me.
