RE: Guide:- Maximizing the performance of PPSSPP on your Android/Windows device.
Hello again folks. I'm back for good this time around, I just came back from my vacation.

@GuilhermeGS2

The only reason why I haven't added the I/O on thread option to the performance guide, is exactly what bonquacks said.

On my Core 2 Duo machine, the performance difference was almost negligible. It was actually slower in certain games. (-2,-3 VPS, I still have the older framerate counters on my special PPSSPP build).

@cyclonmaster

Does that require a rooted Android device? If it does, it may not be so useful for those who don't want to root their devices.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1
