Translation patches
How can a japanese game iso be patched on a computer? How would i apply the patch to the iso?

note: i do not own a psp anymore

It depends on the game...

Moreover, you have to know that translation patches are made by fans so each patch can be different...

As vnctdj already said it depends on the patch, most of the times translation patches come with instructions, generally a readme (or at least it is written on the page where you downloaded the patch). Even so, nobody can help you with so little informations you have provided. Telling us at least which game and patch are you trying to apply would help the cause.
