For Daxter disable Vertex Cache and Buffered Rendering...you can also try frame skipping(set the skipping to 3 and check if you see flashing black screens...if not and the game is not choppy,leave it to 3).
Also make sure Hardware Transform is enabled and 2x SSAA is not enabled and Texture Scaling is set to off.

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
