RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
How about "Harvest Moon - Hero of Leaf Valley" ,
it's locked at 22 fps for some reason...and it's really slow even on high end pc rigs...I tried with unlock cpu above 444, no go.

I'd love to make a request for Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite to be unlocked to 60 FPS. It's weird to have it render at 4x with texture smoothing but be locked at 30 FPS. So if you ever have the time, I'd be most appreciative.

The first link is a preset syscall of PS2's Emotion Engine that either calls 60 or 50 Hz. With that you can set the video mode the game runs in, not it's internal framerate. PSP's hardware doesn't work that way at all. And the second is the speed which has little to nothing to do with it. Technicaly you could set PPSSPP to 120FPS on it's framelimmit and half the game's internal speed and this would result into 60FPS effectively but music and video would be in double speed. (This is what I did on PCSX2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ before the real hack for 60FPS got out).

Out of curiosity I tried running PPSSPP with Cheat Engine's speedhack, but since it only manage the external speed it don't break the internal 60vps/30fps asynchronism, with is the major problem. Do you think this internal speed management is possible in PPSSPP?

NPUZ00243

_C1 Force 60 FPS
_L 0x20316118 0x00000001

In this case, it actually makes the game much more playable because of a separate bug.

I would like to test 60 FPS in MHFU too Wink

Digimon World Re:Digitize seems to run at 20FPS, yes you read right, the FPS cap is at 20FPS, I need to check the ELF file.

Honestly, I don't understand why the developers chose to cap it at 20, I can live with 30 fps, but 20...

Are there any other games that change in-game from 60FPS to 30FPS?
Let's start by doing cheats for those and we'll see for the rest...

Dragoneer's Aria has something similar, during cutscene it runs at 60 fps (audio goes desync), while in game is capped at 22, though i'm not sure if it is emulation fault.

Yep that one's exactly what I meant, gonna give it a shot.

That's an emulation bug. When I say change between 30 and 60 FPS I mean test it with CWCheat's FPS counter on a -REAL- PSP to make sure that it's not an emulation bug. Make sure also to have set to maximum your PSP's clocks so it will avoid an internal slowdown. If anyone wants to test it, try on Kingdom Hearts BBS. Using CWCheat and it's internal framecounter If you change the respective address's value to 1 it will show 30FPS on the above right side, but if you set it to 0 it will show 60FPS. Try to fin a game that flactuates between menus/modes framecaps and post them here.

Ah, my bad, I'll test some games with the clock at 333 then.

RE: 60FPS patches for PSP games that run at 30FPS
Here's a tricky one: MGS Peace Walker seems to go from 60 FPS on the title screen, to 30 in the in-game menus when selecting a mode, then to 20 in-game, once playing a mission. I tested with the CPU clock locked at 400mhz, so it shouldn't be an emulation bug. Plus, Google seems to show PW being locked at 20 FPS in-game, so I don't think it's incorrect.
