Danganronpa control glitch?

When I started playing, all controls are ok, but when I'm in the room where I have to investigate by pressing x, it does nothing even though x works fine in the opening menu, all controls are ok and does what it do for the game's control except x (though square button and select does nothing too) which is the main button for investigating the rooms.. I really need some troubleshooting guide for this game.
