Can someone do a test(check the CPU usage)
I just want to know if it's a problem with the emulator or it's something here.

When I play a game,if I minimize the emulator,the cpu usage goes at least +20%
For example,start FF7CC,load a save and check the cpu usage when when Zack appear.
Now minimize the emulator and check the cpu usage again.

Here when not minimized(or the window is not active),the cpu usage is 25% and when I minimize it 50% and more(when I restore the window,it goes back to 25%).
It happens on any game and the cpu usage if always different between minimized and not

Using PPSSPP on Windows 7 x64 SP1
i7 4771 3.5Ghz,GTX750TI,16GB RAM

Batch iso <=> cso converter

RE: Can someone do a test(check the CPU usage)
Minimizing the emulator in Crisis Core reduces my GPU load by about 22% and does not change my CPU usage whatsoever.

It could be your scheduler or even GPU driver. If you have another app active and not many CPU cores, it may increase context switching when you switch away from the emulator and so execute a lot less efficiently.

No other programs are running(including the scheduler...I never use it)and my video drivers are the newest version.
It happens on any game...the cpu usage always higher when ppsspp is minimized

@vsub_

For me the opposite happens.

Loading up a FFVII CC savefile and waiting until Zack appears, i get 18-20% CPU usage.

Minimizing the screen reduces my CPU usage to just 8-10% (as i would expect it to do, since it's not rendering anything onscreen)

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Can someone do a test(check the CPU usage)
Strange,I can't think of any possible reason why I'll get higher cpu usage when ppsspp is minimized.
No other emulator act that way(pcsx2,ePSXe(OGL plugin),Gen32,Snes9x and so on)

All modern operating systems have schedulers, so to not use one, you'd have to be using a custom kernel or something... that or using DOS 6.22 in REAL mode, but unfortunately PPSSPP does not yet have a port for DOS.

Or maybe I didn't understand what you mean by "schedulers"(Scheduled Tasks for System Tools)
