[ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
So, I'm trying to run MH3rd HD on my device, but it goes at 2/3 of it's real speed.

So, as in the pc i edited the ppsspp.ini's cpu speed to make it go fullspeed i was wondering if I could do the same on android.

But I couldn't find the folder the file is in.

I mean, it's supposed to be in data/xxxxxx but the whole data folder is locked to unrooted devices (on my phone, galaxy s4).
Am I doing something wrong? Are there some other ways to change the cpuspeed on the ppsspp.ini?

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
If you grab a more recent development/git build, there's now a GUI you can use under Settings -> System. It'll lock the speed in 111mhz increments.

Oh! That's what that option does! Thanks, I didn't know. Are the changes reboot-only or i can try them on-the-fly?

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
At the moment, you'll have to restart the game you're playing for it to take effect. Or if you know it's one of those games that changes CPU speeds frequently, you can wait for it to kick in, but I'd personally just restart the game real quick.

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
That's odd, I thought Raven's GUI for it was merged..

Edit: Seems like it was reverted..hopefully it'll be reinstated soon. Sad

D:

Oh well, I'll wait another build.

Another related question: I can set it only to 111-222-333 or I can get higher values (I set it on pc to 666 to make mh3rd run fullspeed; dunno if it's just "333+" or it has some meaning)?

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
Well, Raven's GUI had a max of 666, but the code I wrote that actually does the locking had no limit, so you could do 99999999999 if you really wanted to(it'd be completely pointless), by editing the INI.

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
But I mean, does setting it to 666 actually changes the performances or the only emulator accepted values are 111, 222, 333+?

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
Some games have their slowdowns fixed with speeds above 333, yes, but it makes the emulator more demanding, so you might get VPS drop if your device isn't powerful. The option sets the emulated PSP to be running at 666mhz for example, twice/2x that of the regular max speed(333mhz).

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
Right, if the emulator is running at less than 30 or 60 FPS(depends on the game, some even run at 20, like Peace Walker, apparently..), it's likely a bug, or the game actually has slowdown there on the real PSP. It really just depends.

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
Welp.

I'm playing MHP3rd HD, I'm getting full vps and around 40 fps; is there some log I can show to make the problems clear?

(Device: samsung galaxy s4, SoC Snapdragon 600, CPU 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Krait 300, GPU Adreno 320)

edit: lulz I did something, now mh3rd doesn't boot. I have to reset the options somehow)

RE: [ANDROID] ppsspp.ini folder
as i said, I can't access it.

Is there a way to fully remove an app? After I tried the cpu lock option mh3rd doesn't run anymore, and normal uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't fix it, so I thought there could be some leftovers I couldn't remove.
