Game freezes when installing the psp game data to mem stick

I am using the 0.8 version of PPSSPP...

When playing games which needs to install game files on the memory stick at the start of the game (.hack for example), the game freezes at the moment I press the O/X button to choose to install the game files. The vps/fps counter stops and ppsspp becomes unresponsive.

I think that installing the game files is just optional to make the game load faster and it does not necessarily require it for the game to be playable.

Can someone tell me if there is a way to prevent the game from installing its files on the "memory stick?"

Yes. Tell it not too. Its the bottom option for most games.

Data installation is not supported right now.

And it's useless since we don't use UMDs with PPSSPP !

yup it complete useless except some game liked hack//link need data installing to run.

Yes, I'm 100% sure

But it's mandatory for some games, as Ritori said
