64bit PCs can run both 32bit and 64bit programs, so that is not the issue.

You need 7zip to extract 7z files properly. Get it free here.

Extract ALL the contents of the folder into a single directory (right click on the 7z package after installing 7zip and choose Extract Here). Don't run the emulator before extracting all the files properly, it won't work when located in the compressed package.

The MSCVP120.dll error can be solved by installling the 32bit version of Studio 2013 redistributables here.

Once you've done that, then place the atioglxx.dll file into the ppsspp folder, and then run ppsspp.

Here's an example of how it should look like when you have everything in place (Note that the exe file is just PPSSPPWindows, which is the 32bit version):-

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz

Just ignore that for now, it's just a font file. PPSSPP will use the system fonts instead if it can't find that file for its UI.

The rest of the files should still have extracted successfully. Do what I mentioned in the rest of my previous post.

RE: PPSSPP Crashing AMD Legacy Drivers Windows 7
You're welcome, and the facebook video not playing is not connected at all to the programs you installed.

Throughout this entire convo, you've only installed the following programs:-

ATI Tray Tools
7zip
Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013

PPSSPP is not installed, it was just extracted and is in portable mode.
The specific atioglxx.dll driver file which I provided is only applicable to the ppsspp folder and no where else.

All of the above have absolutely nothing to do with your facebook video. That's most likely a browser issue, unrelated to PPSSPP. The latest drivers are still being used by every other application on your PC.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz

Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

Uninstall ATI Tray Tools. You don't need it anymore after the last custom solution I gave you.

Get GPUz, run PPSSPP in a window and after loading the game which has slowdown, take a screenshot of GPUz with the Sensors tab.

Example:-
[Image: ibqZpoEyjrnzHU.PNG]

PPSSPP slowdown should have nothing to do with ATT anyway. We need to see the GPU core and memory clocks while the slowdown occurs.

Last resort would be to reset settings back to default in PPSSPP, maybe you increased the Rendering Resolution too much, causing slowdown.

In PPSSPP head to Settings --> System --> Restore PPSSPP's settings to default.

Here are the screen shots sir.. i was playing with the settings yesterday till midnight but no slowdown. just this morning and i dont know why. maybe AMD was bricked/broken?

I noticed that theres only a time limit for me to play smoothly then afterwards it became slow..

Yeah, it looks like your card is overheating, which is leading to the clock throttling, which would explain the slowdowns.

109 Celsius is too much for the card. The operating temperatures for a GPU is between room temperature to around 80 - 90 Celcius at full load. You definitely need to resolve the temperature issue, it's not good for your card.

How long has it been since you've cleaned the dust out of your PC/PC components? Best do it soon if you want to continue running PPSSPP/3D heavy games, for the health of your system.

RE: PPSSPP Crashing AMD Legacy Drivers Windows 7
I hope that this is in the right place, I don't know if my card's a Legacy or not, but I do know it's AMD, unless ATI was a company AMD bought out? I'm sorry, I don't know much about computers. I recently got PPSSPP and have tried playing a few games, but after 5 minutes or so my graphics drivers fail. I've read through the thread and tried the fixes shown, but for the life of me I can't seem to find the Surface Format Optimization to disable it. My computer was built for me for my birthday, so I don't really know much about it, but this is the information I could find:

Display Adapter [I'm assuming that's my graphics card] is an ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
my Processor is an Intel® Core™ i3-2100 CPU @3.10GHz 3.10 GHz [I'm not sure why it says it twice, but it does]
8 GB of RAM
Windows 7 64bit.
According to CCC my Driver Packaging Version is 8.97. my Catalyst version is 13.1, 2D Driver version is 8.01.01.1248, and Direct3D version is 7.14.10.0911, I don't know if those are up-to-date, but when I use Steam's "Check for Video Driver Updates" it tells me I'm up-to-date.

I'd put up the log.bat for you but if it's supposed to be under the Program Files (x86) or under Documents, there's no Log.bat to use, is it something I have to make myself?

Thank you for your time, and thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide Smile

RE: PPSSPP Crashing AMD Legacy Drivers Windows 7
@Exqueak

Since you've most definitely got a Legacy Card (ATI Radeon HD 2xxx/3xxx/4xxx), please use the following drivers for the best stability in PPSSPP:-

http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownloa...41318.html

Uninstall the 13.1 drivers, and then install these older drivers for your card. They should work better for PPSSPP's stability, I can vouch for them personally (I've been using them with PPSSPP on my ATI Radeon HD 4670 card for the past year now), newer isn't always better when it comes to drivers and older cards.

You shouldn't get anymore display driver errors with these drivers, and you should be able to find the Surface Format Optimization/Catalyst A.I. option easily in the older Catalyst Control Panel.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: PPSSPP Crashing AMD Legacy Drivers Windows 7
Thank you very much for your quick and absolutely helpful response ^^ I still don't know where to find the Surface Format Optimization, but I haven't had a single crash since installing 11.11 Smile Thanks so much Big Grin
