not really, overclocking is risky only if you overclock it that much that it gets hot. Anyway if the phone cant go to a specified clock it restarts as a warning, so overclock just before it gets to the reboot clock. My optimus one is oc'd at 748Mhz and it's the max it can get but I never had problems in more than 1 year. Anyway youdon't need to overclock because it's a quadcore, so you should wait for the multicore support
