RE: 0.8 released!
Thanks for adding Force Nearest Filtering option. It would help in sharpening objects without losing performance by enabling xBRZ scaling in low-end devices.

RE: 0.8 released!
force nearest filtering has nothing to do with performance, it's just a look some people apparently prefer. it shouldn't slow down or speed up anything as bilinear filtering is practically free on gpus.

RE: 0.8 released!
Sorry for being a little off-topic but, Daxtsu, could you please tell me how you patched your Project Diva 2nd Extend game, I couldn't do it with my ISO. I got stuck at the part where I replace my original eboot.bin file or did you used another method?

RE: 0.8 released!
Project Diva 2nd or Project Diva Extend? Also what are you patching?

Edit: I understand now. I just read his post. I never knew anyone bother patching those games. They very easy to navigate. Ignore my questions.

RE: 0.8 released!
Swifty: definitely it's easier in an emulator, although it depends on how you want to deliver your patch. Many use CFW plugins, which aren't supported yet.

But patching files and testing is definitely much easier and faster. I'm actually interested in eventually adding an overlay or patch system to make this easier (not require rebuilding the ISO.)

Yes, that's was I meant! Some people (like me!) prefer sharp textures and text but in low-end devices enabling xBRZ for sharpening objects decreases performance, so for them nearest filtering might help in achieving their target (without losing performance).

That would be really easy for file patching, you could just mount a DirectoryFileSystem on a path inside the UMD before the ISO filesystem itself.

Of course, this wouldn't work for games that read files through sce_lbn offsets etc...

RE: 0.8 released!
Yeah, that wouldn't be hard. But I think supporting sce_lbn would be a must, so many games do it.

In an ideal case, it might even support sub-formats like CRIWARE etc. via a simple plugin system, but maybe that's overcomplicating it... but that would make fan translation so much easier and quicker (especially assuming the boot loader supported this too.)

And also modding of course, replacing textures and such.

RE: 0.8 released!
Really appreciate everything the team has done to make PPSSPP one of the greatest emulators ever, even though it has quite a nice list of compatible games i'm still waiting for SVR 2007 and 2006 to be playable like the other WWE games but i didn't really try those on the new version.

Also looking forward to the crowd fix for SVR 2011,doesn't anyone know if it has been fixed? i would test out myself but i'm currently unable to do so.

Again,fantastic job team.

I agree with this. I know you want to fix the issue but when it's still not working, a workaround should be available.
