Is a texture dumper/loader possible?
Considering Henrik has worked on Dolphin, he should know what I'm talking about. So, it it possible to implement a built in texture dumper/loader like in Dolphin?

PSP HD texture remasters would be awesome. Imagine porting BBS 2.5 textures to PPSSPP and then play in full 1080p or more with 2x SSAA and possibly other forms of AA with texture upscaling!!!

Can't get that in 2.5 which will be 720p with little AA

Alright. Anything new on this? Is a dumper/loader being worked on or are you guys putting it off for later?

Got so many things to do, I won't get to it for a while, others are free to give it a shot though of course...

That would be amazing. Can't even imagine how good would Gran Turismo look with higher res textures.

Henrik, maybe you can add Compatibility with Texmod (With this, the players can make textures, it can be used in Dolphin, for example [I usually use it with DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 using custom textures created by Youtube Users])

Cya~

It's DX9 only, PPSSPP is OGL only.

RE: Is a texture dumper/loader possible?
Now that there seems to be a DX9 version of PPSSPP, would Texmod be compatible with it? I've tried but it did not seem to work. Any assistance would be appreciate

There's no DX9 version, there's a not maintained test version that uses EGL to create a context on Windows, which means that the OpenGL to DirectX library ANGLE can be used. We still don't have a working DirectX renderer though.

Thanks for the reply and information. Texture dumping and loading would be a huge addition to an already amazing emulator. The longevity of many games would be extended, and games that have not been on the PC platform would be available. Realistically, how can we get the ball rolling on this feature? Is it a matter of time, money or both? I'm sure I'm not the only one willing to donate for someone to get this done.

RE: Is a texture dumper/loader possible?
Any news on adding a texture dumper/loader? I've been hoping for this feature for almost 2 years. Is this a possibility at all? The addition of this feature would be huge for a lot of games.
