RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Well it seems some people think it is useless some advice my advice was because i notice that the settings i posted work best im not joking but yeah some will complain trying to presume i have high end computer so i need to know the best settings as someone posted but my setting are the best why is simple
.- you wont get glitches like screen flick, screen divided (this happens when you use anisotropic filtering at 2x,4x,8x,16x) so is useless even if it looks better is kinda annoying playing with a screen divided or some stuff dissaapearing
.- is better if you use postprocessing shaders they wont make glitches
.- and last with those setting the games dont crash
I can already know that some will say "those setting are usefull for people that dont have high end pc" but my setting are the best i used the highest settings and the games crashed like every 5 or 10 minutes of playing but with those settings the games dont crash and i play usually 3 to 4 hour each of my games
And my computer is a custom build high end computer
Processor Custom Nyagara 6 cores Hyper Threading 32 threads for each core Cpu Speed 5.3 Ghz each core
Ram 64 Gb
GPU Crossfire HD Radeon 2 Gb each
512 GB SSD
I wasnt joking with the best settings and my pc is a trully high end PC

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
This game runs at 30 FPS when at full speed, and 60 FPS in menus (before loading the game) and FMVs.

With that said, your device might simply be too weak (or not be PPSSPP-friendly, e.g. Snapdragon) to play the game at a decent speed, if you can't find settings that seem to help. It's a good bit more demanding than MHFU.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Is there a way to get the patch still? They removed all the download links for the English patch for whatever reason until they update it.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I don't know of a place to acquire just the patch by itself, currently. Hopefully it won't be too long before they release the updated patch, or they'll put the old one back up.

chichi_nacari: Without ripping it from your PS3 game disk, not really.

[split] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
I have got the HD version running (this one doesn't suffer from black screen due to lacking an encryption thingy that the psp version has);

Running everything kicked up (Render resolution x10, framebuffer to GPU memory, Texture scale x 5, Frameskip 1 (I havent tested frameskipping yet), runs at glorious 100%
System:
Windows 8.1 (x64)
GPU: GTX680 SC (75% is the highest GPU load I could find thus far)
CPU: AMD FX-8350 (25% usage at most times, spikes between all cores)
PPSSPP V0.9.9 (Apparently takes 8% CPU power, 170MB of RAM in the farm)

This should give a rough idea what sort of a computer may be required to run the HD version with all bells and whistles.
Best scene for testing the performance (that will make sure the rest of the game runs smoothly) is the farm area, you stand almost right at the entrance - it will give you maximum graphics card usage. Also note: A fully renovated farm will eat 5% more of the GPU power.

*Apologies about the cropped image, had to reduce the size to something below 500kb*

Edit: I have tested all zones in the game (day, night, events everything) - in most cases the usage is between 30% and 60% (Flooded forest entrance to Zone 1 is a case of 66%, thats about the only notable one).
Best settings I've found:
Render resolution x10, framebuffer to GPU memory, Texture scale x 5, Frameskip 1

Optimization note:
When you first are trying to set it up, make sure texture scaling is at x1 and render resolution at x3, then go up from there (Render resolution IS ALWAYS first).
Note: If your texture scaling is too high for your pc to handle, you will experience extreme slowdowns when first entering areas and when in main menu/menus in general.

NOTE: DO NOT change upscale type from xBRZ (switching this will make interfaces laggy and some transitions (i.e. entering a zone for the first time) laggy. To be honest, I'm not even sure why I upscaled the textures Big Grin

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
After reading almost everything here, i still couldnt find a solution.

I extracted the files from my MHP3rdHD disc and converted them to a single ISO.
After trying to run it, iam getting the error " could not find executable disc0:/PSP_GAME/SYSDIR/BOOT.(the letters after here are getting smashed and are unreadable)

What part/'s am i missing?

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
@RussChimes does your original eboot.pbp work?

Iso is only needed if you want to apply a translation, dump an eboot.pbp which works on ppsspp first and then if you will really need a translation, google for some programs to repack psp pbp files into iso. Make sure it's not for psx->psp pbp's through, they're not the same and programs for them will probably not give a working iso - it actually might be what happened to youTongue.

If you don't need a translation, just keep using original pbp, it has a nice compression and ppsspp runs it without issues.
