RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
The PSP one works fine, but you have to deal with the annoying PAUTH files.

The PS3 version just works, no additional files needed.

Any news on the stuttering audio? I saw on page 33 complaints.
(10-28-2013 04:59 AM)devilsingh Wrote:  I have reported the audio stuttering even before ffmpeg atrac3+ support was added.

For some reason it was fixed when i was using (v0.9.1-2116-ga588b46 x64),
& the stuttering started again in (v0.9.1-2145-gbadf33a x64) after unknownbrackets "vtimers fix" but its not as frequent as before.
The most noticeable are felyne meows, waterfalls & yukumo village, i think its the sound effects because music is working ok!!

I'm on v0.9.6-779 and am experiencing the same audio issues. It sounds like microstuttering of certain sounds. It seems to effect "background" sounds only.
The music, combat, and menu sounds all sound fine.

It is very noticible compaing "Home" To "Yukumo Village" standing next to the waterfall.

Comparision speed on builds:
ppsspp-v0.9.6-windows-x86
[Image: ppsspp_v0_9_6_windows_x86_Kopiowanie.jpg]
ppsspp-v0.9.7-1-g95af98b-windows-x86
[Image: ppsspp_v0_9_7_1_g95af98b_windows_x86_Kopiowanie.jpg]

Like you see there are some changes on character lightning, but 40% speed?? How is this possible that new builds with hundreds improvments have so crappy performance.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
There could be multiple factors: New settings introduced that are on by default which this game doesn't like, the same default settings aren't being used to test both emulator versions, winrot/the PC could've changed a bit since then, debug logging spam could be running on one, but not the other, emulation accuracy improvements could've slowed things down a bit, etc. It could be one or all of the above. Hard to say the exact cause without any more details.

Try turning off debug logging, and software skinning, if you have it on. Those are the two biggest performance droppers for this game.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
All options was same in both builds, default with: debug logging off, texture scaling x2, software skinning on (turning this off give me only 5% more). Checked few other games and speed drops only with this. Cant find in wich one build speed start dropping, to much for checking, but it must be this lightning.

Edit: Found it, its one of fixes from --ppsspp-v0.9.6-851-g19fca25-windows-x86-- to --ppsspp-v0.9.6-868-g333580e-windows-x86--

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
You could try builds just before v0.9.6-334-gce8f98e to see if that's the culprit. But as accuracy increases in the emulator, some performance loss is expected, it's just how emulators work; more things to process means less speed overall. Not every ounce of performance has been squeezed out yet though, so I'm sure there's still room for improvement.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I'd say to test the normal mhp3rd instead of the hd version when it comes to android platform, and remember to download the pauth files (and put the PAUTH folder in the sd root) which you can find here, see the post #156 from Archimedes; also try to enable multithreaded in the system settings, it grants a major speed boost, but not all games like it.

Since English is not my first language sorry for some misspelling on my posts
