Hot Spring Crash is still present in latest version, however the slow-down I was experiencing in full screen is now gone and the turbo button works as well.

On another note, the right analog bind has a huge dead-zone that makes it unusable. You really have to push in the direction you want to go to make your character respond. It needs to be much more sensitive.

Do you remember from which build did the hot spring crash start? Currently I'm using a little older build (ppsspp-v0.8.1-486-gb25c85f) and the game is working fine, I have not yet experienced the hot spring crash, but sometimes the game crashes at random points.

I have this issue regarding the left analog stick, not the right one, as a temp fix I'm using xpadder.

If you are using the xbox360 mappings,
try doing what I did, unmap all keys except the LAS(Left Analog Stick) in the XBOX Controller page, then set your xpadder to coincide with your what is mapped at the keyboard page EXCEPT LAS.

Worked pretty well for me. So far.

PC Specs:
Intel Dual-Core E5500 2.8Ghz OCd to 3.3Ghz
4GB G.Skill RipJaws X DDR3 RAM
PALIT GeForce GT 640 1GB DDR5
Windows 7 SP1 x64

Feel the DERP~

That's what I did, hence I used xpadder as I said earlier Tongue. Is the dead zone bug present only on MH games or in all games aswell?

The deadzone issue started to appear when they rewrote the controller code... or something (if only this was C#, I would have done something myself Sad )
The last revision that had no issues with deadzones, natively, AFAIK was v0.8.1-98-g0d0e1db.

Anyways, did you map your LAS in xpadder? if so, you should remove it, just use the bindings in the xbox360 controls page for it.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I see, interesting. Well, I have issues with the left analog stick so as for now I'm forced with xpadder, but I'll take a look on future build to see if xpadder will not be necessary anymore.

Q/ Is there an open issue still for this game on Android? The Jit issue and the fact the no controls work on Android if run it with Jit disabled?

I like being able to play on my PC but would be epic to see this run on a mobile phone Smile.

"It's not a bug, its a feature!", sorry couldn't resist Big Grin
Don't worry, you aren't alone with that. Support for videos hasn't arrived yet (AFAIK, proprietary codecs or something? I could be wrong).
Don't worry about it, its not a "problem", just a bunch of CG videos anyways Dodgy, you ain't missing much. You aren't playing a Monster Hunter game
for the CG, you are playing it for epic Monster Hunting.. errr slaying! Smile

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
Movies missing is nothing new. It's listed in the first post. But anyway, I wouldn't count on them being fixed anytime soon. Oioitff's still on vacation/busy. Plus, like Nanoha said, Monster Hunter isn't exactly known for its epic story [because it doesn't have one..you're a hunter that came to protect whichever given village you're in].

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
I'd also suggest a newer revision, since older revisions spam the debug log, slowing the game down. In newer revisions you can turn off logging altogether(I actually put in this feature for this game and for MHFU, lol), which should give a good performance boost(zero boost on games that don't spam the log, but MHFU and 3rd HD do, so you're in luck). Also, make sure you view Solarmystic's performance guide.

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
how do you turn off logging? i dont see any option to do so, im using v0.8.1-1081-g73d7f49 64bit

is it only by disable/hide the logging window? (ctrl+L), or is there something else?

RE: Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD VER
It's under Developer in the options. I've hidden it away there since typical users don't really need to turn it off(power users, sure, but those guys who are like 'HALP MAH PLEEZE, FIX IT' can use the logging to help us, lol).
