BUMP!

Since it has been discovered that the PS3 can run any PSP game in 3D in it's remasters emulator. can you take the code from there and adapt to PPSSPP?

That's not how this works by a long shot.

Indeed that's not how it works, but potentially we could create our own stereo rendering support. It's not a trivial project but not impossible either, especially where there's geometry shader support (desktop only). It's in my long term plans, I'm not gonna make any time frame promises though...

Chiri's custom EXE actually works quite great! I used it to play Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD remaster version in Stereoscopic 3D! It looks amazing well! Big Grin

But some games will have incorrect z-depth. E.g., Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus.... Undecided

Hope this can be further improve~~ Wink

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Too bad Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker also has incorrect depth as well, the camera is zooming in too much that even passthrough Big Boss already....

Hi Henrik, so glad that you will implement S3D support in your roadmap! Big Grin And I read the twitter article of carmack you posted before. You really knew all the cutting edge tech and implementation of this field~ Tongue

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Don't we need the DirectX build of PPSSPP first? Henrik can implement many functions that Dolphin has when they finish DirectX implementation, but OpenGL doesn't seem developmental friendly

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Hi guys, just got some more thorough tests upon the 3D version of EXE dated 2013/08/26 from Chiri.
I got the following result that may worth for share to all:

- Not every game will have "magnify" problem. The following game works in 3D perfectly:
- God of War Chains of Olympus (little glitch when displaying transparent parts like flame - black square box edge)
- God of War Ghost of Sparta (little glitch when displaying transparent parts like flame - black square box edge)
- Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD
The above 3 games must select "Non-buffered rendering" otherwise the screen will up-side-down.

The following games are all got magnified:
- Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker
- Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus
- Tekken 6
- Soul Calibur

Hope the above test results may do some help in further enhancement of future build!

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
Wait a minute guys does this mean PPSSPP supports the Oculus Rift with some games? Has anyone tried some games with the Rift? How is the experience? I'm particularly interested in how well Ridge Racers works. If Ridge Racers works with the Rift I honestly don't know if I will survive from a potential heart attack.

RE: Stereoscopic 3D
I don't know if anyone still cares, but since the d3d9 backend got implemented and is working well on some games, you can use 3rd party software to get stereoscopic rendering now. I've only tried it with iz3d, looks dope.
