PS Vita
PS Vita is a videogame portable, the sucessor of PSP. It is based on ARM processor, Cortex A9 2.0Ghz Quad Core, with a GPU PowerVR(not remember the model), and 512MB of RAM. It is almost a smartphone Android.
Well, the companies of games will make many games for PS Vita, they will have that optimize the games to run in ARM processor. So, maybe they may make better games for Android, based in PS Vita games. The processors are almost same, but the clock of phones are a bit low, so the graphics may be a bit low, too. What you think about this? You have hope of this happen? Other thing, you think that PS Vita can emulate PS2, if someone(Not the SONY), make a emulator? And maybe optimeze a bit more and port to Android? The phones are almost in same clock speed of the PS Vita. I think the SONY not will make a emulator for PS Vita, because I think that it have others plans, like make the Xperia Play 2 and do it emulate PS2. There a time ago, I see some peoples saying that the SONY is looking for someone that make a PS2 Emulator, but it is strange, why the owner of PS2 not would will know how to make a emulator? Sorry my bad English. Phones: Poco F3 8GB/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / 16GB RAM DDR4 3600MHz / NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti 6GB / Windows 10 Pro |

RE: PS Vita
if ps vita could emulate ps2 it would be so slow due the gpu and has some button issue since it doesn't has L2/R2 buttons cuz portable devices only has L n R

RE: PS Vita
I think that the PowerVR GPU can emulate PS2, because the graphics of PS Vita are better. But maybe, depending of emulator, the GPU really not can emulate without many optimizations.

RE: PS Vita
The PS Vita is almost certainly not powerful enough to emulate the PS2 at anywhere close to full speed.

RE: PS Vita
Remember that to emulate something, you'll need to have hardware which is far better than the thing you wish to emulate. Android flagships may have equivalent hardware to the vita, but they're not significantly more powerful.

If a 290MHz PS2 had power to run it, an Android with 1200Mhz with some optimizations can also. Clear that the system of the PS2 had its own operating system that was suitable for playing games. But I also think that some Android games should be more like video games, and the closest is the PS Vita. Android games are very mobile style, few remember the games I played on my phone java, but in 3D.
