Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
I think starting a Wiki for this kind of thing would be a invaluable tool, sadly I have no clue how to start one so maybe someone else who does know can start the initiative in doing so, that is if people want one.

Dolphin and PCSX2 already have one of their own, which are both great. So the idea is to follow suit with what they have done.

RE: Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
I tried when we launched but it got overrun with spam very quickly, and there was little interest as things were working so badly.

Now that many games run fine, it might be time to start one up again. Would you guys use it?

RE: Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
I would use it , but considering how well this forum operates at the moment not sure its actually worth the effort at this stage

I agree, maybe the forum is enough...
What will the Wiki give more than the forum ?
I think that one thread per game in the forum is good, isn't it ?

Like a more consolidated version of the forum and the wiki could offer more info than just compatibility.

OK Smile
And a wiki can be more easily readable than the forum Smile

RE: Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
I personally think that a wiki would be a useful tool. You could search by your favorite developer, browse through the titles, and have every thing in a condensed format. However, if I had to choose between getting to 1.0 (and better android performance) quicker or a wiki, I'd choose 1.0. But then again, most of the games I use this for are SRPGs like Disgaea, or Trails in the Sky, which are pretty much guaranteed to work, thus putting less excitement on a wiki for me.

RE: Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
Well if there will be a wiki, here are some ideas for it:
- Multi language
- Tutorials (for example this (well i dont think many people use it but why not) and maybe make some tutorial (or link for) that teaches people how to rip their games from psp, how to report bugs, how to build ppsspp etc.
On games page:
- small description of the game (and if a game was originally japanese, write down the original title\name of the game)
- links to walkthroughs(and maybe translate some for the popular games), cheats, gameplay videos, savegames, (and maybe english patches\undub patch (that are not illegal and works with ppsspp) for japanese\etc. games)
- settings\device specs. it was tested on
- games boxart (i dont know if this is illegal or not)
- known issues\bugs
- version it was tested\last worked (and link for that build)

PC Specs:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6700 3.2 Ghz
4gb ddr3 ram
Geforce GTS 450 1 GB DDR3
Windows 7 x64

You have good ideas Smile
But it must be very clear, the wiki has to be as readable as possible...

RE: Any plans to start a Wiki to track Compatibility?
I agree a Wiki should only be created when compatibility improves to the point when 70% of the games boot-up to playable.
For the time being this forum is good enough until then.
Also to make the Wiki viewable but not editable by everybody to avoid (Spamming) happening again.
I especially like the emulation Wiki by Bubblegum Balloon & sfageas which is great by the way, found here: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=2616

We have a compatibility List already here: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1473

Here are explanation of all the emulators options: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1757

I suppose adding all these elements together would be of huge benefit, in the future, but not now.
