RE: PPSSPP Symbian Port
Have been out of the scene for a while. Could someone educate me about the latest developments regarding PPSSPP for Symbian (Nokia N8) please.

They all work on Belle FP1.
The builds on http://qtness.com/ppsspp.html are compiled for Symbian Anna (and hence works on Anna, Belle FP1 and FP2).

The only issue with first-generation handsets (like N8) is that the new font system has filled up all the VRAM. Still waiting for this to be fixed.

huh? does PPSSPP really work on Anna? it wasn't working before...
i sometimes considered going back to Anna but didn't really have a reason to...until todayBig Grin
also, i tried the 1161-g2b4f3bf build on my first-gen c6-01 - despite being unstable, the overall speed has gone up

thanks Henrik for ppsspp and xsacha for porting it to symbian!

No. PPSSPP probably doesn't work on Symbian Anna (never heard of someone that managed this). Also, as xsacha said, 0.7.6 builds have an issue with VRAM in first-generation handsets (your friend's C7 included). Try using 0.7.5-2 or wait 0.8 version.

Yes, the builds are compiled for Anna. The builds on http://qtness.com/ppsspp.html

The v0.7.5, v0.7.6 are compiled for Belle.

RE: PPSSPP Symbian Port
Why not?
That was the only reason the official builds didn't work on Anna.

RE: PPSSPP Symbian Port
All the Builds after v0.7.6-1192-g30536fa does not play any games...

E.g for Persona 3 after the credit Atlus and Criware, there is normally a video but it does not play, even though you can skip it...
But for the builds above v0.7.6-1192-g30536fa you cannot skip it and it stays on the blackscreen...

Device: Nokia 701
System OS: Symbian Belle FP2
Version(Emulator): v0.9.6-789-g3d3b0b1

Nope not even in latest versions. I tried to change use media engine to false and still no good.

For some reason new way of playing videos in game dont work in symbian.
That is why game is stuck at where ever a video comes.
