I had a stupid problem like that with Monster Hunter FU HP display cheat which does inject code and couldn't explain why it happens;p. Anyway I found out before seeing this that using "savestate" seems to reset something(JIT state?) and allow such codes to being enabled/disabled in-game anyway. Wonder if same reset could be applied to switching cheats, but blah got used to workarounds with cheat enabling/disabling from pcsx2 anyway already.

That makes a lot of sense to me. Some games may very well be using run-time loaded code segments, and for such cases the revival of a "savestate" could require JIT recompilation of the affected code, so as to restore conditions to what they were at the time of saving. And this may very well take into consideration any new RAM values patched by cheat codes too.

It probably can be done, though a safer method would be to make a proper in-game gamesave and then exit+restart the game from the emulator's main menu. Only then can we be certain that all the game code is recompiled for emulation.

I've had a lot of fun with PCSX2 cheats as well, especially the widescreen patches and widened 'camera' viewing angle of such games as FF10. Some of the former even work well on a real PS2, though the wide-angle cheats require a higher internal 3D rendering resolution such as PCSX2 offers on a modern PC.

But a problem with workarounds and beta versions of any emulator is that something that works well one day might fail the next, when a new beta version has modified the methods that the workaround relied on.

I did try on latest build for android, the cwcheat seem to not working. Test on God of War CoO, Hexyz Force, FF3 etc. Only working on windows.

Same problem in my symbian phone
cheats are not get loaded

same ini file is working in windows but in phone I have placed it in PPSSPP/PSP/cheats
but not working also tried to creat diff. Folder outside PPSSPP like PSP/cheats
still not working

I think you may be using the wrong folders here.

For me PPSSPP cheats are working fine under Android, and primarily used on my OUYA (the Android unit most suited for console games).

But the main folder which PPSSPP created for storage of its cheats, saves and savestates (each in separate subfolders) has the full pathname "/sdcard/PSP". In this folder I had to manually create the subfolder "cheats" thus giving it the full pathname "/sdcard/PSP/cheats". (That manual folder creation might not be needed on later versions, though I'm not sure of this, as I haven't tried a fresh install of them. I simply update my existing installation with the new betas.)

Judging from your description of the paths you've used, you seem to have created folders of your own in the filesystem's root directory, and such may not be recognized by PPSSPP.

I did everything right to put the codes in persona 3, used the cheat and then opened the version of the game and put the codes that I want then I put Enable Cheats (two of the v091 834) does not work and the code that I'm trying it is

im currently use ppsspp v0.9.1-752-g2745744 on my Iphone4. but whenever i try to open game with Enable Cheat, it freeze immediately. Can someone help me? Im new to this.

Thanks SeiRyuu, but i couldnt even have a chance to input the codes. First, u have to turn on Enable Cheat in System, then open the game to create the Cheats folder, rights? I did the same thing and it keep freezing, after i turn the Cheat off i can get into the game normally.

i will try looking for older builds, it keep freezing when i use the cheat function, thanks for your advices SeiRyuu

IOS isn't really supported or tested yet. I suppose you could try though. Make sure you manually create the "cheats" folder like in Android.

I think makotech222 is on the right track on this issue, though you might need some additional details.

I'm not sure if it works the same way on an iPhone, but when I first started trying to use cheats I had a very similar problem. In my case this was due to PPSSPP not creating the "cheats" subfolder, even though another routine was dependent on its existence, such that it would crash if launching a game with the "Enable Cheat" option set with that "cheats" folder still missing. I had to use a file manager to create that folder, and after doing so everything worked fine.

If you have a file manager for your Iphone, try to check if there is a "cheats" subfolder in the same place as your folders for gamesaves and savestates of PPSSPP. Under Android this would be in "/sdcard/PSP/", but I have no clear idea of how things are stored under iOS since I've never used any iOS devices.
