Phantasy Star Portable 2

RE: Phantasy Star Portable 2
I tried using the latest build, v0.9.9-34-gb7ac539. although the characters are now showing (with random issues on character disappearing when walking), I noticed it got slower compared to the 0.9.8 build. switching from buffer render on/off didn't help. it might be one of the games which are affected by the slowdown on the 0.9.9 builds

RE: Phantasy Star Portable 2
im on windows (compaq cq56 pesario, intel chipset 4 GC with tweaked driver, 4gb ram: slowend pc) i just tried 9.9.34 & .37. hum yes just got a little amelioration in the way sometimes monsters heads appears instead of being invisible as old builds, but pretty much the same, nothing better and nothing worse that we all already know (i always try Plain Overlord quest to see if there is some amelioration every new build). besides, i did not have slowdowns. oh and with 9.9.34 (did not tried in.37) if you switch to non buffered, you got black screen and ppsspp freeze. will have to continue play Phantasy star portable 1 (i have the last build to run it with messages bug fixe).

Try this, some Chinese guy fix the graphic glitch, though not perfect but at least the game is now playable.

I just tried this rev and I apologize in advance if someone feels offended of what I'm going to says but...what,is that all, such temporary fix is not added(until the real problem is found)just because you sometimes see things you are not supposed to see from your position?

Well let me tell you,I played the whole game with the camera bug(192 hours),and I'll take that new bug any day in exchange of being able to always see the enemys and the area around me(the camera bug makes the game at least 2 or 3 times harder)

Btw,the PSP2I demo also works fine with this modified rev

Revenant thanks for sharing the link...another user posted another rev(probably with the same fix)long time ago but for some reason, any game I tried with that rev, ppsspp was instantly crashing...this one works fine.

Unfortunately, that link will have to be removed because that site hosts warez ISOs for one, and two, the build doesn't share its source code or a diff of what was changed (PPSSPP is GPL, meaning source code must be shared or have a link included to a place to obtain the source code).

i put the .exe in my last build folder, works and Psp2i too. strange thing is when your weapon goes "inside a wall" it get the color texture from the elemental is has, instead of being white blade.

That's something probably to be expected.
There is no point reporting bugs while using that rev

RE: Phantasy Star Portable 2
yes, yes of course and it does the same thing in normal builds after trying. I was just thinking why can't it be the contrary. but at least we got the trails with the right colors.

Might I be able to get that link as well? I'd like to take a look at the build. I find myself most irked by this strange graphical anomaly.

Edit: So much so that it prompted me to join and post.

RE: Phantasy Star Portable 2
vsub_ thanks for sending me this version, its just as i suspected. This "fix" was already found by TheDax in the github thread. Its still a lot better than the disappearing bug. If its not much of a problem i would suggest devs to maybe add an option to official builds to use this fix for psp2 (something like a check box like "use this if you play psp2"), the game will be less broken and actually it'll be playable.
