RE: Best Android phone to emulate PPSSPP
Hello, I also have a Sony Xperia Z
and I can not seem to get any games to work on the emu at my phone.
I installed the emu on my windows pc to check my iso's and they work fine.

I can not understand why the games do not work on my Xperia Z.
I have tried all the settings available...
All play the loading screens, menu's and logo's fine but as soon as the game actually starts they all drop to 0 fps 20 to- 30 vps (whatever vps is) and changing anything just makes them even worse
(by even worse I mean with a few changes even the sound goes clippy and a black screen with no graphics being generated - can be achieved).

I would like it if there was a "Reset Default Settings" option as for one thing I do not know what the default settings were.
On top of that I would like to know which games you managed to get working on your Xperia Z.
And what settings you use on them.

My only assumption would be that this phone is not supported??

RE: Best Android phone to emulate PPSSPP
i think that is any device that have tegra 4. galaxy s4 maybe has quad core cortex a15, but it's only 1.6GH, and only work for hard progress, compare to tegra 4 that isnt octa, but quad core a15 1.9GH. which mean that galaxy s4 in hard progress is still slow than easy progress tegra 4. this is what i think

RE: Best Android phone to emulate PPSSPP
Gs4 is very bad to emulate. Many game running like PowerPoint. Maybe there is some problem with CPU Architecture

I think the a MOTO android device with Intel atom CPU May be best. LOL

If I remember correctly, in the past the issue with the S4 was the PowerVR based GPU, which, if I'm reading my spec sheets correctly, isn't in the i9505 version. However, without having the device to test for myself, I'm afraid I can't really say whether it's better for playing.

I am, however, curious of this myself. 1.9GHZ, 2GB of ram seem good enough, but I've heard some rumblings on this forum about the Adreno 320 GPU it uses.

If anyone can address this issue, I'd be curious to hear of their results, either from someone with more in depth knowledge of PPSSPP's functionality or from someone with an i9505 version willing to toss a few games around and see where the VPS and FPS land at different settings.

RE: Best Android phone to emulate PPSSPP
Until ppsspp is fully optimized.. doesn't really matter what specs you have unless they're to low.
I've seen a better performance for my A9 CPU 1ghz prestigio than others have reported on s3... so IMO keep your current phone until the emulator is fully optimized(if that's possible) only then will we know what devices we need.
You never know yours may work full speed but you spent more on another..
knowin you could of saved some cashSmile

To reset back to default settings on this emulator, simply delete the ppsspp.ini (That can only be achieved I believe if your phone is Rooted).
This allows you access to every file on the root of the phone.
Delete the ppsspp.ini file & re-start the emulator, that will create a new file but with default settings.
