Raise the Frame limit?

RE: Raise the Frame limit?
Should probably write up how it works. With a 360 controller, just click your left thumb stick to toggle between 3 states.

1st state: 60 fps
2nd state: Your defined limit
3rd state: Unthrottled

Holding tab also unthrottles the fps. The defined limit can be set in the graphics menu (page 2) or in your ppsspp.ini file. In the ini file, you can set it to any number you want.

RE: Raise the Frame limit?
Sorry to bug you again makotech222, but it seems like this feature doesn't work on android.

Could it be due to a lack of a left thumbstick button equivalent for an android device? It's not like they have a similar button to click on for their on screen controls.

Here's the issues page on github:-

https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/issues/1806

Also, what would be the equivalent button for Windows users without 360 controllers? Tab just exhibits the same behaviour as before, and others without 360 controllers may want to utilize your function also.

PPSSPP Modern Testbed:-
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.0 GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 VRAM @ 1138/6500 Mhz
16 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1600 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

PPSSPP Ancient Testing Rig:-
Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 @ 2.8GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 1GB GDDR3 VRAM @ 843/882 MHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1066 MHz
Windows 7 x64 SP1

RE: Raise the Frame limit?
On android: I recall someone somewhere, saying that android has v-sync forced on everything, so it won't be able to run any higher than 60 fps. A project lead may have to correct me on this, though. I didn't really have android in mind when i coded this. I kind of assumed that android phones wouldn't be able to run much faster than 60 fps.

On those without 360 controllers: I'm assuming you mean keyboard users, correct? I will actually have to check that and see what is bound to left thumb stick for the keyboard. It could actually be nothing right now, because it use to be tab. I think i will have to send in a pull request later tonight to fix that. Whats a good key to use? Probably F4, coming from dolphin.

@makotech222

Yes, I meant KB users.

F4 is currently used by the emulator for quickloading savestates.

You should check the keyboard keys currently used by the emulator for hotkeys to make sure there're no conflicts.

Afaik the following keys are currently in use:-

F2 Quicksave state
F4 Quickload state
F5 Buffered Rendering
F6 Hardware Transform
F7 Run
F8 Pause
F12 Toggle Full Screen

Thanks for looking into the matter again sir.
