Help, ps3 controller disconnects after specific input conbination

hello i have a strange problem. i am playing Metal gear peace walker with a ps3 controller connected by USB. Every time I press L(aim)+R(shoot) and move the left joystick the game freezes for a second and my controller just disconnects, I have to disconnect and reconnect the controller to get it to work again. I tried Socom FTB2 and Lord of arcana and the same thing happened.
